QUOTE(Human Nature @ Mar 5 2015, 02:02 PM) I just placed another FD for the 4.5% 15 mths today, not a new customer too. How do u go about it getting to place fd in scb even is existing customer? For those with SCB basic saving account, you need to pay a fee if you account is dormant for 1 year. Just to share, online IBG and interest deposit from FD are not considered as activity. You need to go to the counter/ATM to do a transaction for it to be considered active. Interestingly, when I am at CIMB to move out fund, another teller also told me about their 4.2% rate and he is able to bypass the fresh fund requirement. Thought the 4.5% is for new customer only. |

QUOTE(kyenli @ Mar 10 2015, 07:37 PM) I've just signed up for SCB 4.5% 15M FD. However, they told me that interest will only be credit upon maturity ie at the end of 15th month. Two branches said the same thing. My understanding is the interest will be deposit into your savings account ever few months (cant remember how many months already)Also, apparently the requirement is to open a Justone savings account but I was having a basic savings account. Approval is needed for me to proceed with only a basic savings account. How about you guys? |

1) When this promo will ends? 2) Is it a samsonite luggage bag? 3) Worth it if comparing to put into SCB FD which is 4.5%pa for 15 months? |

QUOTE(joeaverage @ Mar 19 2015, 04:01 PM) Hi all.. If you have current account, just move it there. Can someone help clarify the steps to move funds for FD. For e.g. if I have RM50k in Maybank and want to open an FD with OCBC, I understand that I can use Rentas or Giro. But how does the account opening at OCBC work? Do I just walk into OCBD and ask to open an FD account with minimum amount and then go to Maybank to transfer (as I have the OCBC FD account number already)? Also, would I need to open a Savings account first with OCBC and then only open the FD account there? Any information is apprciated. Thanks. Then at ocbc, issue a cheque. Rentas, you need to have a bank account in ocbc. |
