thumbup.gif Thanks for the links.

Unfortunately CIMB does not have Junior/Youth FD.

Its Junior SA rates are pale in comparison to other institutions sweat.gif

I will give it a pass this time.

Made a FD placement with Ambank's 36-month 4.50%...then baru realised the maturity date falls on Saturday.

Read from here that Ambank doesn't pay interest on non-working day??? doh.gif

If I remember correctly, depositors for this particular FD promo can't transfer the matured FD to SA...only the interest earned is possible.

So I'm bound to lose my interest la shakehead.gif

Ho wmuch ur fd amount? But, u shoul dhave interest credit to ur SA every 6 months which is better.

Interest earned from the whole tenure will be credited into the SA.

However, upon reaching maturity date, can't uplift the FD because maturity date falls on Saturday...so rugi interest on the principal because kasi Ambank use my $$$ for free from Saturday until Sunday grumble.gif

Today went to a few banks to do some FD-related stuffs & other normal banking activities.

Thought that for convenience sake, might as well take the opportunity to collect some ang pows.

Unfortunately:
1. RHB - belum ada stock sad.gif

2. Ambank - dah habis stock blink.gif

3. Maybank - besok baru distribute stock sweat.gif

Fortunately:
a) HLB - manage to collect a few packets (but the picture & paper quality not as good as previous year...my opinion only)

b) CIMB - able to collect a few packets too (but there's a picture of a sparrow...I think...printed on the ang pow, not a goat)

Anyone has experience in premature withdrawal of FD, from BankRaykat?

Mine at 3.95% last year, due in May this year.

I was wondering if I take it out now, and put into higher FD promo, is it advisable?

thanks all...

I have went through the experience of premature FD withdrawal from BR.

1. Calculate the period (in month) you have deposited your FD with BR

2. Refer to the nearest period of deposit (in month) from the profit rate table

3. Your length of time in #1 is the eligible tenure to be allotted pofit rate

As to whether it is advisable for early withdrawal & put into higher FD promo...that is solely your call smile.gif

I posted Maybank's Ang Pow at my Facebook Page[/url] back in 14 January 2015  tongue.gif

However, I only collected Maybank Premier Wealth Banking Ang Pow on 9th Febraury 2015.

As for RHB, I got them early last week after I returned from Melbourne.

As far as I know, most customers with PB status do not need to make reservation to get ang pow from their respective banks.

The RM will make the arrangement & customers just go & collect the ang pow.

Did you contact your RM before you pay them a visit or just drop by & collect your ang pow?
