There is a big difference between someone who takes mass gainers and whey protein. Try ask the mass gainer guy what is TDEE and check his phone for MyFitnessPal. A properly educate natural almost never buys mass gainers.
Of course there's a difference.
That's because their needs are different. So they take according to their needs.
1) A skinny/underweight guy who is already eating regular meals and still can't gain weight will turn to Weight Gainers for extra calories + some protein. His priority is to gain weight first.
2) Same reason, a body Builder who can't get sufficient Protein from eating Natural Food will turn to taking Protein Supplements.
Both are taking supplements to aid and speed up their objectives, to each his own. No need to always shoot people down just because they want to take Weight Gainers for their own reasons and is different from yours.
Armesh, for your info both Weight Gainers and Protein Supplements are made by the same companies.
Generally these companies will label as such :-
High Protein + low Carbs + extras= labelled as Protein Supplement
High Carbs + some protein + extras = labelled as Weight Gainers
They can even cheat and label a Weight Gainer as Protein Supplement, you never know. The fact is if you are saying Weight Gainers are not natural, then you are also saying Protein Supplements are also not natural.
So practice what you preach, and stop taking Whey protein supplements and just take natural food for your natural needs
