Played VS for semi speed last weekend. Was my first. I had so much fun!
Since I've played MS, AR, S2 before, what I can say about VS that sets it apart is that it is very light.
Launches nicely and have a decent ability maintaining average (mid) speed.
The downside is that I have problem with dropping in tight slopes. Some semi speed tracks provide only 1 or 2 pieces of straight after a down slope (I call it a slope drop) before making a tight 180 degree (or less) turn.
I notice my car glides its way through making for a course out. Nothing with a little damper adjustment can't fix
My say is, the Japanese style VS is really fun to play with. Though I haven't tried it out competitively as for now
