i just went to tmpoint and downgrade from RM88 to RM66 yesterday.. i'm not going to pay them any extra if i got choice i want to cancel the whole package.. they are lucky the i don't have any other option to choose..

I dunno whether they had unblock my line or something because i can connect to 100 peers without problem yesterday with the ip of 60.53.xx.xxx. I am at miri here and i can download at the speed of 20 - 30kbps yesterday night but now i can download to 30 - 45kbps.

When they block the line, i can barely connect to more than 20 peers.. currently is 124 peers connected.

When you're downloading torrent through VPN, proxy and so on, you are actually making a single connection to a server. It doesn't matter if you're connecting to a local or a international server as long as you dont make too many connections. When you're established too many active connections, the device will flag you as a p2p user & throttle every connections. Other solutions are rent a server from TMnet's server farm & install a web based client, from there you can download them through http/ftp. Darn TMNUT. I'll pay rm99 a month just to surf and checking emails...

instead of complaining here about how tmnut sucks for shaping p2p, do the following instead:

1. Call TMnut CS and demand to know why you are paying RM88 a month for dial-up speeds.

2. Go to TMpoint and yell at the idiot behind the counter and demand to know why you are not getting the speed you are paying for.

3. Complain to organizations like the CFM or the MCMC or even the Consumer Affairs Ministry about your slow speeds.

4. Write to the local newspapers and let the whole world know about TMnut's lousy service and false advertising. Doing this could give TMnut a bad name and scare away potential new customers who would otherwise be tricked into subcribing into one of their so called "unlimited" services.

5.Write to Lim Keng Yaek and complain about how TMnut is not giving you the speed and unlimited access as advertised by them.

6. If you don't want to do any of the above then subscribe to a service like Secure Tunnel or Relakks to bypass TMnut's shaping.

we just requesting back what we should get, nothing else, many files uses bt distribution anyway, oh ya lets not forget even http download cannot get 100% speed, even streaming video too, and lots more. we subsribe 1mb means we get 1mb, no question ask! its like u paying patrol, u pay 1 litre u get 1 litre, its not like u pat 1 litre but ur 1 litre is going to be shared to 10 ppl, u happy? im sure no rite! and once i get my petrol, how i gonna make use of it (make bomb? do crime? LOL) its non of anybody business, i pay and i get what i should get, dats it! oh ya my online game sucks to the max now .... LOL

All the major BT client developers are already working on a way to beat the shaping TMnut is using. Sooner or later we will all get back our speed once they release their new versions of the BT clients.

Someone local has already set up torrentflux service to bypass streamyx shaping - payment is by maybank so must be a Malaysian company!!

Honestly, I actually thought of providing VPN access for people who wants to download faster. But the poll thread regarding secure tunneling discouraged me to do so. Too less clients, I'll be bankrupt in few months as I have to rent datacentre outside Malaysia which doesn't throttle P2P traffic. LOL.

Then Death of TMNUT will be released very soon after...heheh

I believe not only such services will ban our ip,if keep abuse proxy also will ban our ip.So before signup such services think carefully,if one company starting ban the other also will starting ban,so don't abuse it.
