Tuan/Puan,

Contact our Customer Service".

I dunno whether they had unblock my line or something because i can connect to 100 peers without problem yesterday with the ip of 60.53.xx.xxx. I am at miri here and i can download at the speed of 20 - 30kbps yesterday night but now i can download to 30 - 45kbps.

When they block the line, i can barely connect to more than 20 peers.. currently is 124 peers connected.

QUOTE(strace @ Oct 12 2006, 10:37 AM)
When you're downloading torrent through VPN, proxy and so on, you are actually making a single connection to a server. It doesn't matter if you're connecting to a local or a international server as long as you dont make too many connections. When you're established too many active connections, the device will flag you as a p2p user & throttle every connections. Other solutions are rent a server from TMnet's server farm & install a web based client, from there you can download them through http/ftp. There is a site that also provide such service with a little to no cost - http://66.90.101.200/

$9.99 one month for 10GB download only ???
too expensive ... if unlimited , I might consider.
by the way, it is europe or us dollar ??

Q. Why my download speed is so slow when I use Bit-Torrent and EMule?
A. That is because both BT and Emule are dealing with 99.9% contents that violates the Terms and Conditions of Streamyx account. Please refers to Section 13.iv and 13.viii. of the Terms and Condition.

13. Prohibited Use

13.1 The Customer shall:-

i.not use the Service for any unlawful purpose including without limitation for any criminal purposes;

ii.not use the Service to send unsolicited electronic messages or any message which is obscene, threatening or offensive on moral, religious, racial or political grounds to any person including a company or a corporation;

iii.not compromise or infect any systems with computer viruses or otherwise;
not infringe any intellectual property rights of TM Net, its related companies and subsidiaries or any third party;

iv.not gain unauthorised access to any computer system connected to the Internet or any information regarded as private by any person including a company or corporation;

v.not share the Service with any person including a company or corporation without the prior written approval of TM Net and shall use the Service only for the purpose for which it is subscribed;

vi.not resell or sublet the Service to any third parties without prior written consent from TM Net; and,

vii.not use the Service in any manner, which in the opinion of TM Net may adversely affect the use of the Service by other Customers or efficiency or security as a whole.

I am not at side of TM.
I am only sharing what I was told by TM.

QUOTE(nwk @ Oct 12 2006, 12:18 PM)
instead of complaining here about how tmnut sucks for shaping p2p, do the following instead:

1. Call TMnut CS and demand to know why you are paying RM88 a month for dial-up speeds.

2. Go to TMpoint and yell at the idiot behind the counter and demand to know why you are not getting the speed you are paying for.

3. Complain to organizations like the CFM or the MCMC or even the Consumer Affairs Ministry about your slow speeds.

4. Write to the local newspapers and let the whole world know about TMnut's lousy service and false advertising. Doing this could give TMnut a bad name and scare away potential new customers who would otherwise be tricked into subcribing into one of their so called "unlimited" services.

5.Write to Lim Keng Yaek and complain about how TMnut is not giving you the speed and unlimited access as advertised by them.

6. If you don't want to do any of the above then subscribe to a service like Secure Tunnel or Relakks to bypass TMnut's shaping.

Good luck to all of you.

I will take you no.6 suggestion.

we just requesting back what we should get, nothing else, many files uses bt distribution anyway, oh ya lets not forget even http download cannot get 100% speed, even streaming video too, and lots more. we subsribe 1mb means we get 1mb, no question ask! its like u paying patrol, u pay 1 litre u get 1 litre, its not like u pat 1 litre but ur 1 litre is going to be shared to 10 ppl, u happy? im sure no rite! biggrin.gif and once i get my petrol, how i gonna make use of it (make bomb? do crime? LOL) its non of anybody business, i pay and i get what i should get, dats it! tongue.gif oh ya my online game sucks to the max now .... LOL rclxub.gif

if assume broadband as petrol. Then, TM will become petrol station.
now, the petrol station manager already out of stock of petrol. but , he still want to do business. so, he receive your money and just give you at most 70% of the petrol. At last , you find out that the amount is not correct. So, you quarrel with him.

The manage find out that the usage of petrol might cause polution ( sucking other users' speed). so, he reduce again the petrol amount to 20 %.

this time, you are really angry vmad.gif . but, the manager still receive the same payment and happy with his service whistling.gif

you got not choice. you still need to buy from him because he is the only one sales petrol. rclxub.gif

All the major BT client developers are already working on a way to beat the shaping TMnut is using. Sooner or later we will all get back our speed once they release their new versions of the BT clients.

REALLY?? rclxm9.gif

I really hope so.

It looks like a war between ISP and BT.

Existing of BT will force ISP to increase bandwidth ! that's good. thumbup.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

Honestly, I actually thought of providing VPN access for people who wants to download faster. But the poll thread regarding secure tunneling discouraged me to do so. Too less clients, I'll be bankrupt in few months as I have to rent datacentre outside Malaysia which doesn't throttle P2P traffic. LOL.
*
too less clients ??
no at all. people are crazy for bt. without bt, life is meanless.
TM will gonna BLOCK bt once and forever.

bt fans will definite agree to pay more ( but with reasonable price around usd5 per month).

if you can provide a REAL SUCCESSFUL tunnel to bypass TM's throttle for 24 hour maximum speed + unlimited download.

I will be your first customer and follow by thousand/million others thumbup.gif
