There's a thread for hair loss, do your homework. Some of these drugs used to revive your hair such as Finastride aka Propecia and Minoxidil which can be purchase over the counter at Pharmacy. Do note these drugs can have side effects.

Once you take these mentioned drugs, it's a life time commitment. Good luck!

Helo Archer,

Agree with Xcess that medicines are normally lifelong commitment. I have tried Dr. Ranjit's but stopped after 2 years. But if you should at least try to prevent further hair loss by using some good Shampoo and Conditioner that are sulphate and paraben free (basically less chemical). TRY THIS

But I will also advise you to go and see the doctor (if you like Dr. Ranjit is good also) for your own satisfaction.

He is ok. You can give it try. The medicine he gave does make the hair grow but once stopped, it goes back to the same. so, that's why I think it's a lifelong commitment. Furthermore, you can't depend on medicine all your life. It may have other side effect that we don't know. So, I have stopped the medicine and saving whatever I have by eating Nutritious Natural Food and using good Shampoo&Conditioner. At least no further damage and I could feel it is not thinning dramatically like before.

Prevention of hair loss includes good hair hygiene, regular shampooing, and good nutrition. Medical health screening for hair loss may include blood tests such as complete blood count (CBC), iron level, vitamin B, thyroid function tests (TFT), and a biopsy of the scalp.

Thanks for the info. My cosmetology brand of hair loss treatment solution also contains ginseng extracts, together with other Ayurvedic herbs. Ginseng is quite an effective ingredient in treating hair loss.

Many cause of hair loss. Genetics, lifestyle, etc. Mine started thinning long ago and I am actually scared to try preventive methods after reading all those Yun Nam scam stuff.

I tried a few methods to control it but so far only two worked.
Method 1: Some supplements for regrow hair bought by my wife's Thai colleague from Thai. But after the colleague stopped working together, I have no source of this supplement, so had to stop.

Method 2: Essential oil combination of Rosemary and Cedarwood massaged onto the scalp. My wife tried this on me, I was very sceptical at first, but since I had nothing to lose, I let her go ahead. Seems like my hair is now thicker and less seeing scalp. I regret not taking before- and after pics because I was so sceptical.

jonsson protein treatment: tried them before, whether they are effective or not, i was super turned off by their hard selling. after they do treatment to your hair, they bring you into a room (with your hair still wet) to so-called debrief you. but in fact, they will promote more products and add-ons to you, saying that it will enhance the results if you invest more money (i.e. buy their products). the last time i went, i refused to buy the add-ons, they left me in the room alone for good 15-20 minutes and then brought me out to "blow dry" my hair. the difference in quality of the service provided after you buy their products and after you refused to buy more, is so big and so bad they just simply dry your hair just to quickly finish and "send me off". i have few more sessions left with them (kena conned into buying package), but i rather burn them than go back to that horrible place. you go there seeking help but you end up feeling taken advantage of. terrible and atrocious customer service.

before you attempt to try anything, you must first identify what kind of hair loss are you suffering from. Is it MPB, scalp problem, etc.... once that is found out, choose the correct treatment. If you have MPB, forget about hair tonic, shampoo, etc... you will definitely lose it sooner or later. But you can slow it down with finasteride tablets like propecia. The only way to cure MPB is through hair transplant.

Embrace hair loss like me. All those treatments are outright scams. Men should start overcoming their insecurities. Better be a loaded but bald guy then a broke but hairy guy.

One guy shared his story at johnson protein. Not suprising. Those staff at the shop are tasked to sell as much product as they can. Its their job. Preying on balding insecure men is their business.

Hair loss for guys are usually lower testosterone problem and females are usually thyroid or irregular menstrual cycle. Blood test helps but they are a very costly initial but they save you lots of money without having to spend so much with blind trying, re-test your blood every six months.

I use Hask shampoo, conditioner and hair oil. I've been using it for quite some time and I'm loving it.

It really helps my hair grow faster and healthier. I never use hair styling products such as gel, pomade, wax, etc.

They have various products for various hair types. They're a bit expensive (RM45 a bottle) but you guys should give it a try ! thumbup.gif

Depends on the shampoo & moisturizer you’re using.

If it’s very harsh on your hair, it’ll probably worsen it. If your moisturizer is mineral oil based, it’ll probably cause more problems too.

This is my view:
Hair loss is because of dust mites go into the pore and eat the cell,
there are cells that responsible for hair grow,
once these cells are being eaten by dust mites, hair will fall off and will never grow again.
So, to avoid this problem, it is important to get rid of the dust mites (or minimise their number).
Ways to reduce the dust mites..putting the mattress, pillow, bed sheet under hot sun will kill all the dust mites.
Wash and change pillowcase and bed sheet often (every 3 days).
Attached Image
But if you already lost a lot of hair, this practice will not make your hair grow back, because those cells that responsible for hair grow are already eaten by dust mites.
This practice can only prevent further hair loss.

Hair loss is avery serious issue. You need to see a dermatologist if the condition is severe. The main reason for hair lose is their improper diet. They don't consume enough minerals to promote hair growth. Another major reason is your genetics. Before thinking of hair transplant, see a proper doctor.

man & woman hair loss is quite different. For men supplement such vitamin, mineral or biotin don't help much except making u poorer each month. The most effective supplement is Hair, Nail & skin (which contain lot of biotin to strengthen ur hair) unfortunately it mostly work on woman.

for guys 3 most common hair lost is Stress, Thyroid problem & Genetic.

stress you have to find a way to deal with it.
thyroid u need to do a test too high or too low will also cos hair lost
Genetic is bcos high free testosterone which will convert into DHT that cos ur hair loss

hope this will help you
