I will be going there with a friend of mine tonight. Will reach there around 9pm.

If you're free tonight then we can go in together.  doh.gif

Usually if I'm alone I will just stand outside at the horse/cow guards and pray. Got no balls to walk in myself.  laugh.gif

Ya. Me too.
Even the sifu ask me follow my heart.

QUOTE(Mel2 @ Aug 20 2017, 10:37 PM)
Why some ppl pray on the 15th and not 14th (7th lunar month)?

I usually pray on the 14th around 7pm, just before dark. Is it a good time?

When I burn the paper offerings,  I put them inside a big tong to burn. Not the same tong that I used to burn paper offerings for normal god deities.

Got ppl suggested me to burn the paper on the ground. But the burnt paper will fly everywhere.

It's easier to clean up if using a tong. Next day i will pack the "burnt papers" and throw in the dustbin.

Is it better to leave it on the ground burn or to contain the burnt offerings in a big tong  (an old one actually). Last time I used those satay burner container.  Hahaha.
*
Old ppl used to say when burning the paper, if u see unusual wind like twister. They are collecting the offering

Hungry Ghost Festival prep work being done.

Feast tables at the ready, along with altars and paper effigies of Hell deities.

The Monkey King is a Heavenly god and therefore has zero involvement with Hell related matters like the Hungry Ghost Festival.

This is the Black Prince, a captain of the Hellish armies - the Yin aspect of Na Zha.

I didn't know we can pray for our pets too.  blush.gif
Let me know when you are going there again.  wink.gif

Always remember to go back to pray or bring some food offerings if the deities manage to help you and most important is to donate some of the "open number's reward" to the needy.
