I think the "kit" price of X-T1 + 18-135mm is better? 18-55mm can be bought from the used market easily if needed.

Rough estimation is that you'll save almost RM1k for the X-T1 + 18-135mm compared to if both bought separately. As compared to the X-T1 + 18-55mm which is usually around RM1k over the body-only price adn the 18-55mm usually trades for around RM1k anyway.
*
i agree that 18-135 kit will be best buck but depends on ur need. I seldom need shoot so tight or far...plus it is slightly bulkier.....if i really need the length, either i pick up 55-200mm ..or if i really want weather sealed 50-140mm(if i got the money) ...the only advantage 18-135 is all rounder lens n weather seal

as a travel lens, maybe can consider 18-135mm as u only need to bring 1 lens for ur whole trip

for now, it cost extra rm700-1200 compare to xt1 + 18-135 compare to 18-55...

Hi everyone, plan to get the XT1 , but not sure to go for the 18-55 or 18-135mm, any recommendation ? Also, which shop can offer good bargain? prefer shop only, gonna use credit card smile.gif
Thanks

1-2 days ago i posted , lazada have extra discount....the price actually u cant get it anywhere(not second hand price)....even u got internal price, u can get that low..i checked whistling.gif (expect fuji gives u for free)

retail shop usually selling at retail price...even u connection, u still need to pay slightly extra for their service/rental shop etc etc....i did my research brows.gif

at lazada, 3l trading actually is owned by one of the seller in garage sales n he has good reputation

mr oss now accept credit card....u can try ask him for best price...i can say his price is very good...

Well, there's also the "almost X-T1" X-E2, which can be had for a decent price if you're patient enough to source for a used unit.

At one time, I had all 3, the X-E2 is a noticeable step-up from the X-E1 despite what others say, the only thing I disliked is that they replaced the view mode button on the X-E1 to a Q button, which was quite inconvenient, I used the Q button a lot and I like it's placement on the X-E1, and appreciates a dedicated view mode button as I'm almost always putting it in EVF-only mode when out and about to save battery life.

On a side note, man, sometimes I wished the 16-50mm is a F2.8-4 instead, it's a much more usable 24-75mm equivalent to me. Then again, well, it would have cannibalised sales of the 16-55mm WR. doh.gif

Fuji has change market plans...now coming out premium lens like 16-55, 50-140,56mm...all pricey lens but because of the pricey lens..they keep the company afloat....take a look at the report
From fuji rumors

I brought 5D with grip, 70-200L, 28-70L and 17-40L when I climbed The Great Wall of China last year. Right after I came down, I told myself I will sell everything off when I got back to Malaysia. Then after that I used my Note 3 for the remaining two months in China and all these were kept in the hotel safe. sweat.gif
I came back and Fujifilm announced X-T1 that time, straight locked my target and bought it.

Never regretted since then. I have brought it to all my overseas trip and I'm now in Japan. Loving it so much. biggrin.gif
*
have a nice trip in japan...if can help us check second prices in japan n compare...

probably u can visit fujifilm flagship shop there...they got tons of accessories

Called YL Camera (Camera-Pro Shop) at Jaya33, Fujiflim X-T1, with 1855mm + 16GB Memory Card, asking price for 4.8K, is it overpriced? .. shakehead.gif
Thanks for sharing! Wow, you are superb, see my analysis below:
Canon EOS 5D Mark III (860 g)
Canon EF 70-200mm (1,470 g)
Canon EF 28-70mm (880g)
Canon EF 17-40mm (500 g)

TOTAL: 3710g = 3.71kg not include the camera bag + misc.. shocking.gif and you reached The Great Wall of China... rclxms.gif
That is really encouraging, for me to - s.w.i.t.c.h smile.gif

Amazon does ship to malaysia but unfortunately due to crazy convention rate now x3.7 it is even more expensive than getting here.
*
even i do conversion x3, msia still cheaper...

example amazon ..XT1 + 18-55mm = $1600 x3 =RM4800
XT1 body =$1199 x3 = RM3597

lens (better promo for them..i need to do converison x3.5)
56mm = 849 x3.5 = RM2947
35mm = 499 x 3.5 = RM1746

I am comparing their price n malaysia price....msia still way cheaper due to no tax and somehow msia and japan delivery charges cheap wo...

after GST, i dunno the affect...increase/decrease how much...if anyone knows.. please share

Hey guy,

Anyone of you have used the 16-55mm F2.8 WR? Worth getting compare to 18-55mm F2.8-F4?

F2.8 WR = fixed aperture but NO stabilization

F2.8-F4 = not fixed aperture but have stabilization

Based on the price different of 750usd izit worth getting the new lens?
*
if really got money, i will take a 18-55 and pair with 50-140...more value for now.....16-55 is too new and may cost around 3.5k ..this is my opinion

These days I been using prime so much, I don't bother on zoom..18-55\16-50 nearly unused except travel or passed camera to friend.. Ur zoom is ur feet...

M43 is actually I consider true mirrorless due to small n compact..... The zoom lens is small n nice

Fuji getting bigger but In sharpness is getting better.... Either u wan quality or compact.. Bare in mind zoom lens has vignettes but fuji definite lesser... Ppl compare fuji to Carl lens.. Tat y fuji lens getting bigger

I waiting for next pancake lens.. 27mm is sweet to carry
