thats an extremely short HIIT session...and unless ur extremely fit...i dont see how u are going to maintain a high enough intensity for 30secs with only 10secs rest in between.
do something more maneagable, say 20secs high, 40secs rest for 15mins.

same with jogging...completion time matters...so 2.4km since beginner perhaps aim for 20mins.

dont bother with everything else as it doesnt burn much.

and as has been mentioned countless of times...calories in vs out.

Hard to say, there may be people who get obsessed with diet plans and avoid carbs at all cost hmm.gif I have seen my cousin did that when he diet, but stopped after reaching his ideal weight.
*
yea, but on a diet / reduced calorie diet...i think its quite hard to take excessive protein...
say u cut to 1200cals / day...if just protein alone thats 300grams...in laymans terms thats like 40-50 eggs? madness.
as of cos when most ppl diet...they think vegetables etc...not eating 3 steaks a day etc tongue.gif

anyone here experiencing itchy skin due to weight loss? I've lost 40kg over the past 2 years and ever since then my skin has been dry and itchy , especially near my biceps and shoulder area.

Been eating clean for the past 8 months, have lots of good fat (tuna, eggs, olive oil, etc) so I don't know why my skin is so dry.

inner or outer? any rash?

I was 140kg before. Even now at 100kg is most then "The before weightloss" for most people haha. Ok la for 186cm. Not targetting to lose more weight as i wanna build muscle.

I don't know what its called, the doctors never name it. They just say it puts the lotion on its skin.
*
silence of the lambs eh tongue.gif

i think u can lose more la, at least another 5-10kg.

I'm down to 138kg from 170kg, started around early July.
Now I can see I have sagging belly and skin which scares me.

So thats about 1.7kg weight loss per week, should I slow down so I dont have too much loose skins?
*
i think at this stage already, even if u slow down the loose skin is pretty much unavoidable.
imo, just carry on and perhaps slowly plan for surgery to remove excess skin... i have a friend who went thru the same process recently.

That's.. demoralizing.
Does it help if I go to the gym, like it fills the gap with muscles or something.
*
that would depend how much excess skin u got now.
u can always just lose weight at an ideal rate now and see how it goes again in say another 6 months.
go send this guy an email and ask his advice - https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=101...&type=3&theater
he recently had 2kg of excess skin removed also.

Tbh now no visible excess skin, just that I can see my body starting to shape like a pear now.
I'll just keep up the pace I guess and slow down if I start seeing em.
Cant go to the link, no permission.
when you mean skin elasticity, it's more like genetic or depends on age.
I assume me being 29 years old means my skin elasticity is not that great anymore.
*
oh hmm...well just add him as a friend then.
but ya, there will come a time when u will need to slow down...to around a max of 3-4kg / month.

i have been working on reducing body fat + belly but not much changes past 2 months. weight 68kg with 173 cm height. bodyfat around 19%

i only focus cardio 4-5x running per week. 3-5km each run in 30 minutes
2 meals per day from 12pm-8pm with less rice. mostly noodles. no snacks
stopped beers during weekdays and only drink in weekend

do i need to increase to more mileage in running?
*
at 68kg and 19% bf...say u want to drop to 15%...ur weight would probably be around 63-64kg?...thats quite stick insect already at 173cm...

also 2 meals a day doesnt say much...cos its still calories in vs out...

3-5km in 30mins is quite a range...from a quick walk pace to a decent jog...
if 3km / 30mins better just extend to 6km / 60mins...
else that one 30min session u probably only burn like 150-200cal? 1 teh ais will wipe that out tongue.gif

yeah i quite surprised they suggest me to drop to 65kg.

WFH is definitely playing some roles in calories out as i walk way lesser compare in office

if i lazy, i would go for 3km at 20 minutes then another 10 minutes slow pace just to round up total 30 minutes
if the mood kicked in, i will go for 5km at 30-33 minutes.
*
well to 65kg...3kg a month is doable...
say 0.75kg / week...and 1kg of fat is 7700cal...so u need to be at deficit of about 800-900cal / day...and with only about 200 / day from exercise...means u have to eat less food tongue.gif
even then ur not losing 100% fat...always some muscle loss associated...

I wouldn't suggest such a drastic calorie deficit per day. Your body most likely will kick itself into survival mode due to such a high calorie deficit.

Which means it will lower the basal metabolic rate (which is a bad thing). Try stick to a few hundred calorie deficit per day to maintain the BMR.

The best way is maintain what you are eating and just up the cardio by few hundred calories. When you hit your target weight just adjust your cardio back down again.
*
not really drastic.
ideal weight loss is about 2-3kg / month.

Everything is relative. If you weigh 100kg than yes 2-3kg is not much but if you weigh 50kg than 2-3kg is more cause of higher percentage compared to your base body weight.

I usually prefer to take a more conservative approach. Yes it will take longer to reach your goals but I believe it's always best to err on the side of caution.
*
hence the topic is on the person asking, who weighs 68kg...

Yeah. For me I personally think it's still a bit high. If it was me I would aim for 1kg per month.

Of course this is my personal opinion. No offense was meant.
*
i feel 1kg a month is abit hard to track monthly, cos it can just be water loss.
also most home scales arent that accurate...usually variance can be up to +/- 500gm or more...
even my omron scale is the same...and they make medical equipments even...
i once experimented and weighed myself before taking a nice piss / dump...and after that the scale said i gained weight tongue.gif
