Shell as part of their "global strategy" plans to outsource their IT to an outsource party.

Anyone who's applying to go into SITI should be careful a bit.

Usually when they outsource SITI's operations to ppl like EDS, HP, CSC.. these companies will "take in" the staff from SITI.

yeah... meaning is the outsource party is CSC... CSC will take in SITI staff... rolleyes.gif

In my opinion... those people on contract.. should start looking for another job... just for insurance...

Anyway... I'm sure sufficient compensation will be given lar.. Shell not that irresponsible one lor ..

i dun mean to rude, but the HR really is very lembap in doing the work...say that sent an email notification whether you pass or regret after 5 working days, but until now also didnt send. ( i ask the recruiter during the face to face interview, she somemore give assurance that an email will be sent )

so, i call up to ask, was told, in a "dun wan to layan me" way, please wait until a suitable job comes. seriously, really gives me a bad impression of this company...especially Shell People Services

sigh...

Which Shell is your GF's dad working for? There are so many Shell subsidiaries here in Malaysia. Even the gas refineries in Port Dickson is also a subsidiary. You have Shell in Miri, Shell House Damansara, Shell Global Solutions in KLCC, Shell IT in Cyberjaya, Shell Retail, Shell Trading, Shell Shared Services.

Outsourcing is an excellent move for both Shell and the IT professionals.
Shell is not an IT company, career growth and recognition is therefore very limited.
