IRR is all about cash flows - money paid, money received, current value, and nothing else

So, it's net profit (except for funds that have exit/redemption fee e.g. AmDynamic Bond which has 1% exit fee)

To put it simply, let's say if u have invested for 6 months, and u get IRR of 10%, ASSUMING your investment continue to grow at the same rate, u will get 10% p.a.

IRR also means annualised growth rate.

ACCOUNTANT? I'm just a drunkard laugh.gif

Go FSM and
(1) read its fact sheets
(2) read its annual/interim report
(3) use chart centre and see how that fund fared against its benchmark/peers

This is how u should judge a fund wink.gif

Ok

2. See what are its holdings...but for Feeder Fund like TA European Equity, u can't see anything...so forget it
3. See how it fare againsts Stoxx index
*
3. Now only I realised FMS got a very great handy chart tool to compare fund performance with peers or benchmarks. I just compared with few funds and its Annualised return is as below

TA European 14.7%
Arbedeen Islamic World Eq -
KGF 17.8%
Cimb AP Dynamic Income 20.4%
Cimb Global Titan 21.6%

I think there are other funds better outpeforming than TA European. Is it right my opinion?

here's a suggestion.

dont masuk unit trust. put money in FD until you have studied and researched enough.

there's no problem asking for help here, but first and foremost you should help yourself first.

If you know abt the mathematics behind it, you would appreciate the tedious process of data gathering to create those correlation coefficient parameters. Since these data involves cost to procure, you think these companies will want to share it for free meh?

so happened a friend of mine (working as Investment Consultant) would generate the reports for some funds which I intend to invest so that would have a better portfolio.
