ok let me explain,i got a job offer from this company,so i met them and i verbally agreed to join them and asked for the offer letter.so on friday, i was supposed to go and take the offer letter, suddenly i got a call from other company and they offered me a job which is what i wanted and i decided to go for my dream job and i went to the 1st company and told them i am not gonna join them and they were dissappointed and mad,i havent signed any offer letter with them.

my question,is my decision correct or not?i do think i can choose but i've hurt their feelings.

Erm.. I think you are not wrong..

For me.. work is about enjoying yourself as I think we'll spent more time at work than seeing our family. So doing what your dream work is something that will come once in a blue moon.

About refusing the first job even you ady agreed, its still ok as you havent sign the letter yet. If yes, its not good to do so as they can sue you back. But in the end... Its all about yourself and the work you choose to do.

Just dont regret it and ganbatte in your new job.. laugh.gif

Yup, what's wrong with that? As long you don't sign any clauses, then you just don't have to care about them.

A company wouldn't really get angry unless you had already signed a contract with them and then you left after that. But even then, they wouldn't really mind (big companies maybe)

Since you didn't sign any document whatsoever with them, it's not a problem here. As long as you informed them of this in a professional manner. Then they should have no problems with this.

Sometimes they might feel betrayed because they had already given you a job, and you turned them down after another better offer came in. But this is the way of the world, and they shouldn't really be too sensitive.

Okay, now I understand why they were mad. LOL

You did your internship there. Anyway, it still doesn't matter. You didn't sign any documents and you're not required to work for the company you did your internship with anyway. So no worries.

As long as you didn't sign anything, they can't do anything. Worst thing is just report to your university but I doubt they're so free to do that. tongue.gif

Nobody will refrain you for going after your dream job.

Yeah.. even if they do report to ur uni.. You can say you get the job of ur dream..

Not as if you do ur internship there and the company know your uni.. they can tie u to work with them. Just my 2 cents.. As long no document are sign.. you are not their worker..

Offer and acceptance. tongue.gif . They did offer you the work and you say yes.. But verbally.. then they revoke the offer by giving you offer letter and hence.. you are free to either accept the job by signing or just decline it. Nothing is wrong there..

We work to enjoy our work.. not to tie to a company and become slave to the company.. At least that what I think of working. biggrin.gif . But hope everything will settle by saying no only. tongue.gif

Even you have signed the offer letter, you can still revoke. This has been quoted from some threads in this section.

People come and people go, as long as the boss is not your father, you are absolutely correct.

A proper apology is more then enough.
