ok let me explain,i got a job offer from this company,so i met them and i verbally agreed to join them and asked for the offer letter.so on friday, i was supposed to go and take the offer letter, suddenly i got a call from other company and they offered me a job which is what i wanted and i decided to go for my dream job and i went to the 1st company and told them i am not gonna join them and they were dissappointed and mad,i havent signed any offer letter with them.
my question,is my decision correct or not?i do think i can choose but i've hurt their feelings.
how?
A company wouldn't really get angry unless you had already signed a contract with them and then you left after that. But even then, they wouldn't really mind (big companies maybe)my question,is my decision correct or not?i do think i can choose but i've hurt their feelings.
how?
Since you didn't sign any document whatsoever with them, it's not a problem here. As long as you informed them of this in a professional manner. Then they should have no problems with this.
Sometimes they might feel betrayed because they had already given you a job, and you turned them down after another better offer came in. But this is the way of the world, and they shouldn't really be too sensitive.
