The second thing that I want to share with all of you is regarding our spark plug..The below is taken out from my car...These are Denso IK20 Iridium spark plug after 46k of use...Notice the most left plug? the center core is gone...that's because the engine is running too hot aka lean. Also this makes the COP rubber to get heated up and get stuck to the ceramic insulator even more....I'm changing to Super 4 and will seek advice from MAG if it's ok to use heat range 7 plug because I'm currently on 6.

No wonder my WHP drop on the dyno during yesterday run as the plug no.3 is not firing properly but on road driving you felt just a wee bit of lacking....which is not easy to tell if you are not sensitive. And FYI, no.3 is where the O2 sensor is located so...now you know

Iridium has high melting point...so they say....hahahaha  tongue.gif

I thought Iridium never died one? icon_question.gif Want to swap my current plug to denso iridium, but after reading urs, hmm unsure.gif

Maybe zeone you open up ur denso iridium to compare too? nod.gif

hi guys - urgent - my saga BLM cannot start, i got the same sound as this video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6KONJYYlG7o

anyone know why? is it battery problem? I replaced battery in march 2013 and this car rarely used...
*
Confirmed battery depleted. I got mine exactly same noise month ago, also thought something KO (I thought starter), after that jump start the car only know is battery problem. U jump start 1st. 99.9% battery depleted adi.

My battery during change just 2 years only. sleep.gif

ok thanks bro..just called the battery supply guy, waiting to arrive...getting panasonic MF one, RM 200 - reasonable?

I think i know why my previous battery only last for 2 years, this related to last year when i sound proof my car, i almost turn on my ICE 8 hours per day continuous for 6 days. Although i start my car for 10 minutes every 3 hours, but it won't prevent the battery from sulfation due to discharged for too long. Sulfation will prevent your battery to receive charge fully, which will causing your battery capacity decline over time. So no matter how long you drive your car after that it won't restore to full capacity, unless you ask workshop desulfation for you, they need to use special pulse charger for the process.

So for your case rarely use the car, if your car is park within your resident area, disable your car alarm to minimize battery discharge unless you start your car every 2~3 days. This can prolong your battery life. I already start practice disable car alarm when my car overnight in my car porch.

yes bro. however the wire for the sub is not connected to anything yet, im still waiting for the arrival of my sub.

im not sure if its a whine, its more like a buzzing sound. only when engine is on. i think it follows the rpm too. (campro noisy if i rev it and overpowers the buzzing noise)

nope, my headunit has rca A for front and rca b for rear/subwoofer
he wired the rca A for all 4 ch to the amp. using a y shaped cable that splits 1 rca source to two.

this makes me cant control subwoofer levels from headunit cause eg: increase of bass will increase all speakers including my door speakers.

if he were to connect the rca B separately, the buzzing noise is back. idk whats wrong sad.gif
*
Buzzing sound follow engine RPM 99% is due to ground loop problem, could be due to your head unit and 4ch amp using different path for grounding, and result can be worst if your HU and amp RCA grounding is not isolated with power ground (means RCA ground is share the same ground as power ground)

The best way to cure it would be connect BOTH the 4ch AMP (-) and HU (-) direct route to battery (-) terminal, it should be able to cure it. Now i bet your amp (-) is connected to chassis which is NEAREST to your amp (typical ICE shop to cut cost since use less wire). Theoretical wise, i dun have time to type again to explain as i explained long time ago.

Just remember a key word for ICE: Reference. All HU and AMP should refer to the same point AKA 'same reference point', which is same ground in this case.

(1) previously some members refer the fuel meter bar rather than fuelly. when i say not accurate, they ignored me.  sweat.gif
(2) that is because ur fault didn't pump full tank aka do manual pump after the petrol pump auto click off.
if the fuel meter use needle point like persona should be accurate measurement.
*
Needle point or not is still not accurate la... sleep.gif

Needle also same ma, will fluatate too. The detection is still using the same method, just digital they do analogue to digital conversion AKA ADC for presentation.

U never used car with needle fuel meter ka? unsure.gif

GLX is discontinued in Australia, so consider yourself to have a limited edition car.  brows.gif

Leather seats would be equivalent to our 1.6 SE specs, but at least you do have leg air cond, I have no absolute idea why Proton omit that feature.  doh.gif

firestorm
vs

and other mod i will sell oso hehehe

Why so care about it?

This case is due to ur sub par driving skill, since ur car is no more virgin, then next time you no need so care about it, wrack it kaw kaw next time, to improve your skill and to let you know what is your car's actual limit so that accident won't happen again. whistling.gif Or happen in the same car rather than on new car, right? whistling.gif

Drive safe la, ARB + sport suspension + big tyre will not equal to god car one, at best u might just +10km/h faster than stock only at corner. doh.gif

Are you serious about getting your CONTROL down?

Get an old Saga Sedan 1.5[S] for below 3k. Make sure you get the 1 without power steering. Good thing about that car is, it's cheap to maintain. Make sure you get the old Orion 8Valves. The engine has tremendous amount of low end torque, running on MIKUNI dual barrel carburetor. The engine has no rev limiter, hence the best I've seen is my biological brother take it all the way beyond 8krpm, whilst the speedo over clocked 180kph and pinching the bottom of the dash cluster.

The front suspension setup is basic coil over type. Good thing is, castor will never run off unless chassis/lower arm bent. In the event of camber out, all you care to do is change the bushes and you'll be good. Rear setup is complicated type of travelling arm suspension(our local folks call it torsion beam, which is not) with in built anti roll bar. Rear drum brake will not jam as often as any other car that has a rear drum brake setup. However, the master brake pump is single layer, the brake feedback is super vague to an extend you felt like Flinstone using your own foot to create friction on the ground. This helps you to practice your ultra accurate of heel & toe action.

On stock form, the car is super understeer, makes it super safe to drive. After change rim, immediately offset will be automatically set negative(just about any aftermarket rim will make you negative due to the design of the car). Your turning angle will be increase drastically, and tend to have a lot more lift off over steer. In short, you get to drift with a stock front wheel drive car. This will help you develop a lot of reflects speed, response time, and experience of near loss event. Your steering action will be very sensitive to how the car negotiate and even without looking, by the feel of the steering you'll know the rough traveling speed.

This year, SNF around the corner. You may take it to Sepang and trash it to the max to find out YOUR limit. With an old Saga, it's never about the car anymore, it's about the driver! Tame that beast, and your driving skill will never be break! It's so cheap that you can break the engine and buy another car. Dude, for below 3k, how bad do you expect it to be? Even if it is, throw it away and buy another 1 already!

lol because i care la bro,
i want good driving experience, i might settle with myvi if i dont care about handling and so on.
yes it is my subpar driving skill and fyi i want to focus more on improving my driving skill legally which before this i dont give a damn. hahaha.

deswai i need a not so new car lah which can provide me a good base for improving driving skills.

you know accident happens man, not that i drive memkhinzir buta lorh..darah muda maa there is always the need for speed in our spirit hahaha.

btw thanks for the advice.
so which car will you choose?
*
No, i won't choose any car from your list.

Stay with your repaired/non virgin/not feel very good poor Saga, demod your car, put 13" rim kompang, change ur suspension to soft-like-tofu BLM/FL spring/absorber, cabut FS, pasang throttle limiter, put a 'P' sticker on your rear and windscreen and drive like a lady in future...never change your car and tear the 'P' sticker unless no accident due to own reckless in future 10 years time....i 'm telling this seriously. blink.gif

Next time crash edi, keep it low bro laugh.gif Ask insurans stuff, I willing to help, but don't remind others u crash ur kar will do laugh.gif
*
Nola, not becos he cannot crash...but crash car by own fault then feel the car will be not in good shape anymore, then some more ask opinion for next car before the car is repaired, not mature thinking at all, that's why i can't resist myself to educate him laugh.gif

THE CLASS OF 13 ericmaxman crashed his Saga BLM twice, 1st time direct slammed into side door of opposite car, 2nd time crashed into tree with airbag deployed, you can ask does he give up that car?? His condition is far more serious than yours. Save your money, treat this as a learning lesson, then you will deserve better car in future. nod.gif

在阅读别人的经验得到的经验也是他自己的经验。必须明白,经验并不意味着他有技术经验,它只是意味着他经历看这样的东西。明白了吗?

normal la ady. no because of no fuel supply, but because of the spark plug overflooded. deswai after u sayang your car for about 5 minutes, by then sparkplug not overflood anymore, by then you can start your car with ease.
*
Actually i'm not so agree that our spark plug overflood due to turn on key repeatedly.

I purposely done this for 10 times continuously, but heck i still manage to turn on the engine by just cranking normally at 11th time. I repeat this test few times adi, maybe you guys can try try.
