Nice pic you got there. What lens were you using? F value?
*
The first is with Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8
Second and third is with Sigma 30mm f/2.8 EX DN

Aperture is f11 for the first, and f2.8 for those that follows.
All taken with a6000.

biggrin.gif Your A57 cannot make calls cannot use apps.
How much you got it for? I just e-bayed, some as low as $3X. Nice?

BTW bokeh in the first pic is a little distracting for me.
*
The busy swirly bokeh is its feature though, but have to meet right conditions to make it show up.
Got it at 30usd including shipping.

drool.gif that's cheap. I should grab one to play. Where you get the adaptor?
*
I got m42 adapter from ebay as well, about 5usd all in.

QUOTE(tenchi0205 @ Dec 30 2014, 07:43 AM)
how to do the swirly bokeh?  hmm.gif  I had the same lens but never success to make one  rclxub.gif

I got mine with USD35 with 3 MACRO EXTENSION RINGS
*
IIRC Helios 44 from 1~3 is easier to make the swirly bokeh, ver4 and later has different coatings, sharper but less swirly.
You'll have better luck when you focus a subject in fairly close distance, with far away background and has catchlight.

Can look at here as well:

My sample, still experimenting:

Thinking to visit KLCC's Sony centre tomorrow to check out their member's day promo.
Would like to hear some hands on feedback for HVL-F32m and NIsson i40, which one would be better pairing with F43m?

Some spams today:

already know about the proprietary system and non.thanks for the heads up..just to add.. sb800 can also be triggered wirelessly via a flash pulse. already tried with cybershot.

the reason i wont go for sony is because, they also dont offer HSS with head set to bounce..to me, no point getting the native brand if it cannot offer HSS..thats what i read from the review.i might be wrong ..and as already mentioned by another members, native brand are always expensive. i already experience with my previous system, Need to fork out quite a money for CLS setup sb-600, sb-800 etc. why dont i just use my existing nikon cls system with my a6000. well, by selling those flashes i can buy 3rd party flash cheaper and with better setup.(it already sold btw)

but i have to admit the swivel design by sony is remarkable. i really like it...but that doesnt really justified for the price.unless u guys here can really poison me lol..
*
HSS is only available when the flash is pointed forward directly, at least this is valid to f43m.
YN560 is good option for wireless flash with their own radio it seems. Have an YN560 iv and to be added more soon.
Have yet to find a best way to trigger my f43m wirelessly.

Having a subject with distant background have have interesting bokeh as well, and you might wish to stop the aperture down to get a crispier (less creamy) bokeh depending on your taste.

Below is a shot taken at f/8, using Minolta 75-300 lens, at 120mm.

Finally, my tele-lens is complete

Sony A6000 + Minolta 500mm AF f8 reflex + Sony LA-EA4.
I was told that the reflex lenses can get bright-line circular ring bokeh, have you tested it?

yes..that is its character. i am aware of this and i think the weird bokeh can be control depends on your subject and background..its not that bad actually..for a 500mm with af, price less than 1.5k i think i can live with that..IQ is excellent, no CA..and..really light for a 500mm lens..the only thing u really need is a tripod sleep.gif. i guess the BIS in A7ii can counter this.

plus, its one of a kind  reflex lens. the only reflex lens with AF available in the world. need to have that while its available

https://www.flickr.com/groups/500mmf8reflex/

photos taken with these lens..quite impressive
*
Intrigued, 350usd hmm... The signature bokeh is indeed interesting, tho some folks would find not smooth enough, if the background has speckles of brightness.
