If you're OK with chargers that need external USB power sources (at least a 1 amp output one), the charger that gets recommended around here is the Kingma dual slot charger. It has Micro USB input so you can use it with your Android phone charger - which again needs to be a 1 amp charger at least for it to charge at full speed. Plus it's dual slot, and you can charge 2 batteries at once.

If you need a proper AC (plug) charger, than the BC-VW1. You should be able to find one below RM100 (lelong also got sell). It used to be the standard in-box charger for the earlier Nexes, before Sony inroduced in-body charging.

Try to avoid the Digieye and it's other generic peers. It charges well, but the charger itself is kind of flimsy.

domo_kun Whoa, cool your horses. That's about the normal price people around here sell the FW50 for, and while you get to apply Lazada coupons on that, you've got 3 problems:

1) It's import = Takes a long time to arrive.
2) You get zero... zilch... nada warranty.
3) FW50 is often cloned. And clones are (often) even worse than 3rd party batteries.

If you get an original batt, than all's well. But, not sure if marginal cost savings are worth the risk when you can get a properly working (if a bit flimsy around the contacts) Octopus FW50 for less than RM100 from Digitalsmania - or a proper, Ori FW50 from garage for around the listed price of that Lazada import.

Sad to hear that boss. The A7k is unfortunately quite some ways into the future: Rumours has it that FF priorities (and sensor overheating issues, prolly thanks to trying to shoehorn 4k into a IBIS APSC sensor) has pushed the A7k right into next year.

Not that Sony is pressured much to release APSC stuff quickly, now that they have monopolized the FF mirrorless market.

It's even worse now that Sammy (as in Samsung) is exiting the camera business (a shame, they had good sensors and a phenomenal 85mm lens), so there is really only one APSC rival to Sony and that's Fuji - who don't really churn out products regularly either.

So yeah... sometime next year... if we're lucky.

There's only two Sammies, Bro. And one (The Sung) will be mentioned much, much less after this in these parts. Not that I've used it to mean "Sung" much here to begin with lol.
The other one (The Yang) has two new very interesting lenses out for APSC BTW, the 1.2/50 (f1.2 wei) and the 1.4/21 - plus even more to come.
So it will be safe to expect every "Sammy" mentioned from this moment on to be of the "Yang" variety

Been having problem finding a sigma 19mm, those who posted online actually has no stock. Now i'm going to look for a samyang 12mm instead, anyone knows where i can get it quickly (btw what is the average price for it)? Prefer walk in or cod, not going to wait for shipping.

I think there's one place you can get it for sure (Lazada) but that's from an overseas seller and will take around 2-3 weeks to arrive... so yeah.

And also... you know... Japan. But let's not go there.

As for the Samyang, the shop around Digital Mall PJ supposedly had the best price (about 1.3k) - go ask domo_kun for details, he just bought one from there. Unfortunately they don't hold stock either so you'll have to wait a few days for it to arrive - but at least it's order and collect, no shipping involved.

Otherwise, IINM domo_kun checked all the possible stockists around Klang Valley edi... and nobody got ready stock unfortunately. Also there's one guy in Garage Sales who stocks Samyang lenses, not sure if he has the 2/12 in hand.

Just so you know (unless you haven't already), the Samyang is MF only. If you're fine with that (it's actually pretty easy at f8, though at f2 and close ranges it can be a bit of a PITA) than its a very good piece of glass indeed.
