Its pretty common when you have issues with your current FW. Once you get it working perfectly then you need no worry no more. nod.gif

What lightning cable are you guys using? Im still finding some which is more durable
*
The original works best Imo. But if you want something more durable, try getting the Capdase one which is has a thicker cable housing. If that is what you need.

Avoid OTA update sweat.gif .
*
No issues with me with OTA before. I prefer OTA because you only download the needed files Not the whole FW.

iTunes update is more reliable since it will update the whole build of operating system. But if your phone is fine, then save your time and go with OTA update.
*
+1.
nod.gif I usually go for OTA as the 1GB++ file download is a bit too long for me.

Try not tugging at it too hard and rolling it up on the adapter.

Anyone know what is the lifespan of the home button?
*
It depends on your usage. But definately long enough to last you at least more than a year. So yeah, just enjoy your phone and dont worry about the home button.

Now you know why I always advocate the Palm Portable Keyboard. It's the best full-sized keyboard for any mobile device and foldable into the size of something slightly bigger than the iPhone 6 Plus! rclxms.gif

I wish someone like Targus or one of the other manufacturers in the Apple ecosystem can design something like that, for us power-users who utilize our iPhones for work! thumbup.gif

Yes, initially I just want to get 64Gb new unit but my friend want to let go his 128Gb which only used less than a month. Price is similar to new 64Gb 6 plus. Phone + set box + casing + front/back protector.
?????

Cant compare a used set and a new set. laugh.gif

New iPhone 6 billboards in town: What could this mean?

Only one thing...dwindling sales of the 6 and 6 + and hence the need for advertising.

Dwindling sales? I think that is more relevant to a certain Korean giant who used to make fun of our favorite fruit company via their tongue-in-cheek adverts but is now being battered in all directions by Chinese competitors as well as AAPL themselves! laugh.gif

But seriously, that's the first time I've seen Apple themselves placing billboards of their latest iPhone along stretches of major highways (notably the ones at at the LDP - Sunway toll and TTDI interchange). Unlike previous years when iPhone advertisements will be by one of the Big Three cellular providers - Maxis, DiGi, and Celcom! thumbup.gif

Market is getting saturated. More players on the market, more competitors, consumers having higher requirements and demands are causing Apple to 'buck up' or risk losing market share.

That is true. Apple's advantage is not the hardware, it's the operating system and ecosystem, something they are very well aware of which is why some customers feel the hardware is not up to mark compared to Android phone makers that are throwing everything including the kitchen sink just to be competitive. Hopefully we'll see some better innovation from Apple from now on. I've just read the MWC headlines with regards to Samsung's new S6 - very decent specs and most importantly no more plastic! (that said I'm not a fan of their UI)

Looking forward to Apple's annoucement on March 9th. smile.gif

RUMOUR: NEXT GEN IPHONE WILL HAVE 2GB RAM, FORCE TOUCH AND APPLE SIM

user posted image

It’s been about half a year since Apple launched the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, and if you’re already sick of those devices, here’s something you might look forward to. The next generation iPhone is reported to sport 2GB of RAM, Force Touch and interestingly, Apple SIM.

According to AppleInsider, the next generation iPhone should be the iPhone 6s, meaning that it will only receive upgrades on the inside while the exterior will remain exactly the same. There should also be a Plus version too, which will also feature similar hardware under a larger display.

The report from AppleInsider goes on to say that their sources are saying that Apple is considering shipping the Apple SIM inside its next generation iPhone(s). Apple SIM, which debuted in the iPad Air 2, allows consumers to sign up to any carrier directly from the Settings app, and switch whenever they want. Sadly though, the feature is not available in Malaysia – imagine the freedom it’ll give users. It’s a strange move though and I’m sure their local carriers will not be happy about that because with Apple SIM, these carriers would lose all their contract customers.

Finally, Appleinsider also says that Apple is considering the use of Force Touch for its next iPhone(s). They did not mention how things would work, but imagine something similar to Force Touch on the Apple Watch, which, should be launched in less than 5 days!

Proves a point more ram is needed no matter how well and optimized the OS is. whistling.gif

iOS always runs smoother than android with lower RAM and only dual core processor

If you read my statement again, Android was never mentioned, neither did I compare IOS with android. What I wanted to say was more ram is needed for IOS to run better and more efficiently.
