Wah, RM500 per tooth? Where did the you go for consultation? Medical specialist? Or does the dentist need to operate? If it is a normal yank and pull it should cost less than RM100 per tooth.

Mine was RM 400 but I did it in a specialist. That amount was inclusive of medication for 1 week and some medication to make me sleep throughout the operation. Mine was difficult to ask mine was horizontal and embedded in the flesh.

since it's not coliding with any other tooth, then best to take care of it.
if it's too hard to take care of (always get infection/inflame) then might as well remove it.
the back of the jaw is one of the hardest place to clean.

because the wisdom tooth is big intrusive and can cause your teeth to go into odd positions.

also its alot less painful to just extract it than to let it grow in, less risk of infection and complications aswell if you just get rid of it.

regarding the growth of the wisdom teeth
i ask the dentist be4 ..... i might take days ? weeks ? months ? and may be years ?
from my experience
only have some problem with my wisdow teeth
the tooth stuck under the gum
and the dentist cut the gum to let the teeth grow ( roughly RM 100++ )
but your case remove A wisdow teeth and cost RM 500+
kinda ridiculous ....

The dentist name is Dr. Ling. office is Ling Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Tel no. is 03-22873700. I did it around Feb and March this year. I took out all 4 Wisdom Tooth. Each RM800 he charge so total is RM3200. In Feb I took out 2 from my right side and March took out 2 from my left side.

There is 2 options:

a) Do it in his clinic Intravenous Sedation.
b) Do it in the hospital using General Anasthetic.

I choose option a).

Option a) Intravenous sedatives at the clinic

Intravenous sedatives.
Intravenous sedatives are medications that are used to control anxiety which are administered by way of injecting them into one of your veins ("I.V."). In general, a deeper and more controlled level of sedation can be achieved when using intravenous sedatives as opposed to nitrous oxide or oral sedatives. Typically intravenous sedatives are administered by oral surgeons (as opposed to "general dentists") because they have the specialized training and monitoring equipment need when using these medications. Some intravenous sedatives have an "amnesic effect." This means that when they are used the patient will have no recall or memory of the dental procedure.

Your dentist will need to provide you with specific instructions regarding their use of intravenous sedatives with you and it is very important that you follow them. Usually included in these instructions are rules about not eating or drinking for some hours prior to the administration of the sedative. When intravenous sedatives are used you will need to make arrangements for someone to drive and escort you home after your dental appointment.

Option b) General Anaesthesia at the hospital

Some people have their wisdom teeth removed under general anaesthesia. This means that they are asleep throughout the procedure. This has to be done in hospital, but it's almost always carried out as a day case, requiring no overnight stay. Typically, patients are asked not to eat or drink for about six hours before general anaesthesia. However, some anaesthetists allow a few sips of water until two hours beforehand.

The operation will not start until the anaesthetic has taken effect. It is often necessary to make a small cut in the gum over the wisdom tooth, and to remove some bone so that the tooth can be lifted out. Stitches are usually put in to help the gum heal.

General anaesthesia can temporarily affect co-ordination and reasoning skills, so you should not drive, drink alcohol, operate machinery or sign legal documents for 48 hours afterwards.

If you constantly take care of your teeth (means really carefully cleans your teeth 2 times a day), and your wisdom tooth does not give you problem, you shouldn't worry about it. Just don't forget to checkup with the dentist every year (or 2 years).

A dentist in Pandan Perdana also wants to charge me RM 600 per wisdom tooth removal... I ask my other friend who is a dentist to confirm the price, he said it's around RM500 - 800 for a market price... Howcome some people get to do it at RM1++ & RM3++ per wisdom tooth? Where are these place? Are the dentist there good? I told my dentist wether i can keep my wisdom tooth as i dun hv enuf money to pay for the operation, she said as long as i keep my wisdom tooth clean and it does not have any infection, i can still keep it.... so if there are other dentist that are cheap and good, i'll get my wisdom removed.

well, if you need to do it, do it quick. if you're going to be studying abroad...make sure you get it done in malaysia!!!

in the States, it will cost me USD$250+ to remove ONE tooth....it's a partially boney extraction, it'll be a surgery, with valium but no aneasthesia...means, i will still be awake shocking.gif

i've worked also in a dental clinic before when i was home, get it done. dont wait till it hurts and you cant sleep. i've seen many cases with horrible inflammation, and it could also push your molars towards the front which could cause crowding

They use valium...? Wth... how many pills would they have to pump you with to allow for a painless wisdom tooth extraction... What ever happened to the good ol'injection or that anaesthetic gel that tasted like your tongue disapearing?

I have my wisdom tooth growing horizontally...

The dentist told me that it wouldn't hurt, but yeh, that's what he told me too, when he yanked out one of my milk tooth (er.. two teeth stuck together at the base to make 1 tooth), so, learning from hindsight, I didn't do it with him, but judging from the posts above, this "intravenous sedative" procedure seems good! This tooth has been like this for about a year now with no problems, though I do have a lil bit of trouble cleaning it lol. If it does start to gimme problems Imma look into I.S!

LOL !! that's really expensive!! Then, I must consider the fee is comparably very much cheaper at Sarawak. I remember I only paid RM70 per tooth but that one is without much operation , just injection , scan ( extra RM20 if I am not wrong ) and then 'caput' ... not more than half an hour.
p.s: I really scare to see dentist. sweat.gif

cost? depends on the condition of the tooth and the procedure of extraction.

i had one of them removed not long ago. the tooth had been fully surfaced, required operation and cost me rm400. my other side of the tooth has partial surface, bigger operation and is going to cost rm800 according to the dentist.

it depends on how the wisdom tooth grows. if it's straight, then it costs as much as a normal tooth removal.

mine grew at a 45 degree angle and it was half way to maturity before i had the guts to go to the dentists, so it cost about rm700 for the dentist to drill the teeth into bits and pieces before pulling it out bit by bit. then they stitched up the hole in my gum. with a needle.

so do it as early as u can!

^ I had the same thing.

So if your case is a bad growth, I believe operation might be needed.

Mine was growing alright, and the dentist just pulled out my tooth in like... 30 seconds? There was no pain itself during the procedure, but there might after (my top left had lots of pain, top right had virtually none).

*
I chose option a) too.. Dr Ling took out my wisdom tooth this morning.. he cut into six pieces.. I don't remember the whole operation. Only feel the pain after the surgery... He charge me RM1590 per tooth.

just to add some food for thought

3 years ago I had my teeth xrayed. the first wisdom tooth(which was what i had gone to the dentist for) had already emerged, but the other 3 were lodged horizontally underneath the gum(they call this IMPACTED). So I extracted 1 and surgically removed another 2 for about RM550 each(surgery).

this year, the 4th tooth finally emerged, it seems to have righten itself up. So sometimes the teeth won't grow horizontally. Although it might have been because I did braces and there were gaps between my molars and canines.

I had all my 4 wisdom teeth impacted. Had to remove them surgically because my dentist didn't was scared she might hit the nerves.

So yeah, got this maxi-surgeon from Sunway Medical to do it for me. But the surgery was done in Pantai Hospital though. I was referred to him. Forgot his name though, but it was a Malay doctor.

Cost wise very expensive :\ Everything cost about RM8k. Includes stay in the hospital though.

Surgery was alright. It's the part after the surgery. Hahhaha. Can't eat properly because mouth feels weird with all the stitching there. Swollen cheeks. Medication. Thick liquid antibiotics injected into your hand laugh.gif

But I'm all fine now. Well I should be. It's be about 7months since I took it out hehe.

I had one of my wisdom teeth removed as well (it was growing horizontally) cost me rm600. It hurts for a a week, can't eat with that particular side. After removing the stitches, there'll still be a hole where the tooth was. Best to gargle with warm salt water every night to make sure nothing gets stuck in the hole and eventually gets infected.

Just got mine done today. After months of research, i got it done at Penang GH at the cost of RM 55 for the surgery. It took 5 injections for it to numb the area and 1 hour to dig the teeth out, enlarge the cavity and extract the tooth. I receive 5 stitches and 4 day MC.

Reason why i did it at gomen hospital, is because of the relative experience that they have. They are practically doing this daily compared with clinics doing it once in a while.

Another factor is the price. The cheapest price that i found for private clinic is RM 500 compared to the RM 5 for registration and RM 50 for the surgery. Comparing Lam Wah Ee Hospital which is charging RM 1200 for this surgery. there is no competition

I am glad i went to GH to get it done. They were professional and give good service for their price.

actually depends how your wisdom tooth is coming out..

I had both my bottom wisdom tooth taken out cause it was growing inside my gums horizontally.. Cost like RM350.00 6 years back.. U can check out Sunway Mentari, there is a specialist there..

He will do xray and give u suggestion on how do u want to do it.. If you cannot take pain, he will suggest that u go to sleep using pills or something else..

RM350 for surgical removal by a specialist?? that's CHEAP!!

First of all, there shouldn't be any pain during surgery.... the pills he suggested is most probably a sedation pill and you are not suppose to sleep! some docs use it at high dosage so that the pt will sleep but that's not 'right'.

if the surgery includes seadtion, then RM350 is very good bargain...

wisdom teeth are 3rd molars... they are meant for chewing... for the past 50 years, incidence of impacted 3rd molars are on the rise... reasoning is that our diet have changed.... we are on processed and softer diet.... therefore our jaw is not growing longer than b4, hence the limited space cause the 3rd molar to get 'stuck'......

impacted wisdom teeth were rare 100 years ago......

frosty... you MAY not have been asleep... the sedation is very potent in the first hour... you could be awake and talking.... but you won't remember a thing!!

Tamsin.... the pain comes from gum infection surrounding that particular tooth... not from the tooth 'pushing' out....

it's not normal.... sounds like your 2nd molar(the one in front of the wisdom tooth) may have a cavity or the roots are exposed due to surgical removal of your wisdom tooth..... check with your dentist when you go back to remove the stitches...

oh my that sounds pretty scary.won''t the leftover tooth rot in your gums, thus leading to pain?

drbarbarian,ok will do.now i'm waiting for my stitches to completely dissolve =) BTW does sscaling actually lead to an increasse in teeth sensitivity?and also does it cause ur teeth to get yellower coz it removes ome kinda protective layer on ur tooth?

kumbang, good to hear that it's ok but if it's bleeding u oughta get ur dentist to look at it

scaling does cause your teeth to be a little more sensitive for a week or so.... it doesn't remove any 'protective' layer and won't cause your teeth to go yellow.....

Hi i have to agree that doing at the goverment hospital is not bad at all. Because of the exorbitant cost of doing it in a private clinic i opted to do it with the government and was sent to HKL. My experience was similar, the position of my tooths root plus the fact that it was infected made it a dificult task to get the tooth out. I had a very nice dentist who worked on my tooth but a specialist had to come in halfway to complete it due to the nature of my tooths situation. The overall procedure only cost me Rm 55 and they were very professional when it came to doing their work + i had a specialist working on my tooth! ( i bet that wud have cost a bomb if it was private)

The only downside to doing it in a government hospital is the long wait for your turn. If you have the time and patience, i suggest you get it done with the government. They have the experience and its worthit

arcoxia pain relief is same strenght as panadol... but it last much longer.... 8-12 hours.... and cost way more too........

Kona... it's easier to take it out when you are young... the longer you wait, the harder it gets.....

My dentist also say I got impacted wisdom tooth, meaning the tooth isn't growing straight out,it's growing sideways(meaning the tooth looks like it's lying on it's body).Lol dunno how to describe it.

Is it necessary to pull it out?

The dentist name is Dr. Ling. office is Ling Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Tel no. is 03-22873700. I did it around Feb and March this year. I took out all 4 Wisdom Tooth. Each RM800 he charge so total is RM3200. In Feb I took out 2 from my right side and March took out 2 from my left side.

There is 2 options:

a) Do it in his clinic Intravenous Sedation.
b) Do it in the hospital using General Anasthetic.

I choose option a).
*
I had mine done through Option (a) at Dr. Ling's clinic as well. The IV Sedation was very easy and painless, and the surgical staff were all very professional, pleasant and efficient. The rate is more or less 1.5k per tooth, few hundred less if it is an upper tooth.

It was expensive... but you see, I've experienced having extractions by local anesthetic before, and receiving 10 injections in your gum and palate is painful and traumatic to say the least. shakehead.gif
So doing this extraction by IV Sedation was very pleasant in comparison. The actual IV injection didn't hurt, and I felt as though i fell asleep immediately, only waking up at the end when the surgery was over.

I had one of my wisdom teeth removed as well (it was growing horizontally) cost me rm600. It hurts for a a week, can't eat with that particular side. After removing the stitches, there'll still be a hole where the tooth was. Best to gargle with warm salt water every night to make sure nothing gets stuck in the hole and eventually gets infected.

removed my wisdom tooth last year November at USJ Taipan - Joon Dental clinic for RM550

The dentist did not clean the "hole" properly - coz later that...got some tiny bone fragments popping out frm my gum. Went back to her again...she did not explain what the hell was popping out frm my gums.

Dissatisfied with her lackadaisal attitude...went for another dentist in Bandar Puretir Puchong, she explained that it shld be "bone fragment" - no big issues as it will naturally push out all small fragments out from your jaw

True enough...after popping out 2 small bone fragments now got no more problem

I done it at Penang hospital. I guess i was lucky as it there was two experience surgeon who done it. I paid in total about RM 100 but have 3 painkiller injections. My case was rather special as it was deep and impacted on another tooth. So they had to take a few x-ray to check the position before cutting the gum and pull out the tooth. Then i have my 5 stiches. Practically painless, they even pass me my wisdom tooth as my trophy haha.

For cost comparision, the cheapest private clinic cost about RM500 to 600 while private Hospital like Lam Wah Ee cost about RM 1300 to 1500.

If government servant go should be free and elderly have special discount at GH. There is practically no waiting list for this.

Hope this info helps

I guess the rest of the 80% people either have no wisdom tooth (didn't grow) or it was grown in the correct position so no need to extract.

gee.. thought dat it's a rare prob for wisdom tooth to grow sideways. now i see it's due to diet dats different nowadys, teeth hadnt enough space to grow. and diidnt know dat the surgery would involve gum too. hurm, now it freakin me out a bit. i went to the to clnc for checkup, dentist did say no need for the wisdom tooth to be taken out. and here, somebody points out gettin rotten plus messing with the teeth in front of the wisdom tooth makes sense to actually taken it out as early as possible. want to start surveying places for good option to have it done.

anyone had experience gettin it done in UM? wat would you guys suggest? im hopin for painless as possible experience.. cause now even the tooth give me ache. cant imagine pain from the surgery. even more if the tooth causes other prob say with gum maybe.. cry.gif i cnt imagine the pain.. even the practical student, would they be nice to you? they arent likely rushed to just cabut the tooth right? shocking.gif

I have only one wisdom tooth on the upper left corner that does not cause me any pain at all but it's WAY out of place. Totally not aligned with my teeth. So do i have to wait for the other 3 to grow before extracting it?

Anyone can suggest me a good dentist in Ipoh? Thanks.

upper wisdom teeth normally won't get impacted... but..... they get decay very fast.... this is coz most ppl can't brush the upper wisdom teeth at all....

lower wisdom teeth will only cause problem to the teeth next to it if it's 'laying' down... if it's in perfect position then dun need to remove.....

I mean like the dental got experience...becoz my teeth at the bottom grow almost 180 degree and impact the teeth beside alrdy, the dental sure headache one..

I had 4 impacted (growing sideways) wisdom teeth removed at once, all beneath the gum, require general anastesia. Over here in AUS the procedure would be crazy expensive, AUD2000++, luckily I had health cover.
The surgery was one of the worst experiences of my life, both physically and mentally!! I think i was VERY unlucky case with healing, face got un-humanish swollen for 4 weeks, bruising for 6 weeks!
Any consolation... most people don't have horrible recovery like this...

avoid GA at all cause... I've train in hospital setting where wisdom teeth are removed under GA.... the surgeons are very rough and will cause lodsa soft tissue damage, hence the swelling......

under LA, surgeons will be as gentle as possible coz you are awake.....

I had my wisdom tooth surgical removed and another one by pulling out. It cost me only RM290.

I had it done at my gf's hometown in Tangkak.

It was damn cheap but you have to wait for hours even if you made early appointment.

it doesn't push the tooth in front till create a hole.... hole/decay is due to food trapping in the space between this 2 teeth.... you can't keep it clean that's why the decay formed....

anyone know any good dentist on wisdom tooth extraction at sri petaling / seri kembangan area? 3 of my wisdom teeth grew out normally (my own guessing coz they have not caused pain) but now my 4th wisdom teeth is growing, my gum and right face is now swollen with bit of soar/pain. there is not enough space for the tooth to grow, so i want to go to a good dentist for checkup and wisdom tooth extraction. thx a lot.

Some question to ask, will wisdom tooth cause constant headache? coz right now i having such problem, i check with dentist he said ya... now schedule for surgery to extract out the tooth.

Another question, x ray ady for both lower part of wisdom tooth, one side impacted grew out part of it and very near the nerve,; then another side is inside the gum + on the nerve so need 3D X-ray. How you think of both situation? will it be dangerous since there will be chances of damaging the nerve.

Hope can provide valuable opinion even though my doc ady explain but still worry abt it.

thanks

4 of my wisdom tooth came out out already. 3 of them takes their own sweet time.. where once in a while I would feel the pain until head ache then its gone.

But the one at the lower left jaw was extracted in 2003. Crazy painful until I got migraine and fever (probably due to the infection). The tooth was growing at 90 degree as it was blocked by the jaw bone from above. Had it removed via surgery at the Ipoh government dentist. RM55 or something like that. But the process is cumbersome. First I had to go to a local government dental clinic. Then get referral for x ray.. go to another building. I had to press the x-ray tube to my cheek so hard on my own. Then take the x ray film to the surgeon in the Hospital.

From the x-ray can see the tooth was growing awkwardly that it was depressing the nerve in the lower jaw. Due to severity of my condition, the surgeon scheduled the surgery the very next day. During surgery, after extracting the tooth, the surgeons called in the students to look at my cut open gum. From what I heard, they could see the nerve that has depressed marked on it, almost like a hole but no cuts or puncture yet. The surgeons even took pictures of it. I tried to asked for a copy, but was politely denied. He said I was lucky that the nerve wasn't punctured yet. If so, I would not be able to feel anything anymore on my lower jaw. Then the gum was then sewn closed. After a week went to see the surgeon again for removal of the thread.

The thing is, after a few years, there is another tooth coming out at the same place again, but very small and causing food to get stuck. I thought once the wisdom tooth is extracted, that's it. How come I still got tooth there? Luckily it is not causing any pain. So i just let it be.

yes.... dental pain can radiate and cause headache...... dun worry about nerve injury..... the risk is very slim unless the roots of the wisdom tooth is hook around it..... I dun even bother to take xrays as it's very misleading.... 3D scan would be great but that's over kill for low risk procedure......

probably a broken piece of your wisdom tooth was accidentally left behind.... there is a possibility of a 4th molar..... very rare case but I have personally seen a a few cases.... your previous xray should have detected it though......

Thanks all for the information. very useful and i have read up all 7 pages!

just curious, if there is 1 wisdom tooth develop in my mouth, will i get another 3 as well? do they do grow at the same time?

a few days ago i thought i got an ulcer (experienced pain) at my upper molar but it turns out to be a small wisdom tooth i guess. cos i can now feel it is like a small tooth. not sure whether it is a new tooth or it has been there for long (sorry i just not sure).

should i go to the dentist now? or i should wait for a few more days and see if the pain subdues?

I got one removed not long ago, and I had to remove one more tooth because of the 45 degree wisdom tooth.

4 shots of painkiller, and they managed to get my wisdom tooth out, by sawing it. doh.gif Cost me RM1k++ to do so.

most ppl will have 4 wisdom teeth... upper left, upper right, lower left, lower right..... but not all may be visible as it may be stuck hidden under the gum/bone..... some ppl may have one or more missing wisdom teeth... it's not 'hidden', it's missing... not formed at all.....

some... very rarely... have more than the complete 4 wisdom teeth! for example..... another wisdom tooth behind the lower left wisdom tooth....... wisdom teeth are known as 3rd molars... the additional wisdom teeth is known as the 4th molar.....

99% of the upper wisdom teeth can be removed by normal extraction.... 20% of the lower wisdom teeth needs surgery removal......

I've heard from my friend's dentist that sometimes wisdom tooth extraction would cause damage to the nerve and you won't feel your tongue and loose some sense of taste. Is it true that the risk of damage is there? And if yes, what can be done to the wisdom tooth?

there are 2 nerves that run pretty close to the lower wisdom teeth.... one is the lingual nerve that goes to your tongue and the other is the inferior dental nerve that goes to your lower lip....

if either one of this nerve is cut/damage, you will have numbness of the affected area.....

the risk of damaging the lingual nerve is practically close to 0%...... almost impossible to damage it.... the inferior dental nerve has a risk of 1% chance being damage......

I really need explanation. Goddamn, my upper ones are done 100%. Now, what I'm facing is my left one, like halfway thru, but two days ago it started pain again until now... I think the lower teeth started grow last year/last 2, but isn't wisdom teeth will only grow in a certain period not like mine stop for a period ( 8-10 months ) then start again.

My right one is still ok, about 70% completion. My gf told me ( she's a medical student ) it should be related to food I ate two days ago. The triggered factor is papadam ( she asked whether I had any keropok or etc ) and papadam instantly popped up in my mind ! Now I'm in HELL, it's so freaking pain ! I take painkiller now, my mom gave me. What I worrying now is the left one may infected....

I will consult dentist next month, cos ( this also bad thing ) I just started work this month I'm kinda like fresh grad...

thanks for your comment Dr Barbarian.

The dentist did made an incision on my gums and after that he just yanked it out or something. But he did not break the tooth into pieces, which I am glad...

anyway, in his report it was classified as surgery.

this case is just a little slit to create an opening for the wisdom tooth to be removed.... no impaction involve... so you did not go through what most ppl deem as surgical removal where normal gp are not well trained for....

1) I have 2 horizontal impacted third molar tooth on the lower left and right. Left third molar coming out a bit from the gums. Right third molar is still hidden under the gums.
2) I just extracted 4 tooth for my braces.
3) My problem is, should I extract the both third molar at one time or one by one? Extract it before my braces or after my braces? My doctor say, just don't do anything until it gives u pain.

Reen, it's better to extract those teeth while you don't have any problems with them.
During this time, extraction should be painless and recovery is faster.
It would also save you from worrying about those teeth because eventually you need to pull them out also because of problems due to their impactation.

And why do u need to extract 4 teeth for braces??!

How come the dentist removed both side wisdom tooth? He should remove one side in a time then next side in other appointment.

Depending on the situation. If there is a need, and the patient's condition is ok, then removing both sides shouldn't be a problem. Moreover if the patient is going under GA for the extraction. 1 shot remove 4 also not a problem..... but it all depends on the situation.

Quite common lah. I'm surprised your dentist didn't warn u in advance. He just operated on you without telling you about the risks? But usually the swelling will go down in a week's time. Don't worry.

U sure or not, won't swell? MOS surely will include some swelling, be it big or small. Of course, those really minor impacted vertical cases, itu tak kira lah. Those that u can whack out in less than 5 min also tak kira lah.... Those cases where u need to cut the gums, cut the bone.... and then cut the crown.....sure will swell leh.....

Got my left upper wisdom tooth extracted this morning. It was fully grown and everytime i chew something, it will get stuck at the bottom half impacted tooth (i think consider 45degree angle).

I'm really really afraid of pain so decided to get the upper one done, then maybe the right top, right bottom (both fully grown) and lastly the half impacted one to be extracted with 6 mths in between.

Dentist put numbing gel, then inject the inside and outside of the gum (damn long needles but no pain just can 'feel' it), then since the gums are so numb, i have no idea what she did, maybe she dig? Dun think so coz my gums are not torn and after extraction, no swelling (touch wood, will it swell straight away or after certain period of time?) and also took antibiotics n painkiller after 2 hrs.

Now at 11pm, didn't take painkillers dy (just antibiotics - 2 times a day), no pain at all. Hopefully the pain will not come tomorrow or.... sad.gif

Overall, not as scary as i thought it would be.

But i wonder how long the gums will actually close up so I can eat normal stuff and use that side to chew.

Don't worry. Maybe best you get it extracted since keep biting your gums and scared when got wound, later will get infected. That time the pain will be even worst. Oh yes, food might get stuck under the gums too if the gum is loose.

I am also very scared of dentist haha. Coz the pain in the mouth is the most obvious one.

My wisdom teeth are always biting the inside of my cheeks too - can see inside got 2 obvious lines. Sometimes accidentally bite too hard, cause the skin there to have small wound. That's why I got rid of 1 of the tooth first. See how it goes.

After this experience, confirm will take out the rest but the half impacted one... not sure how, coz need to go thru minor surgery for this.

Are yours impacted or fully grown?

The one that's taken out for myself is fully grown - left top one.

No pain at all.

Now is into 2nd day after extration, blood bubbles has disappear - I presume that the blood clot has already developed(??). It's not really pain i'm experiencing, it's just slight discomfort. I for one does not have a high pain threshold but this one can still tahan so, it's ok la.

Just that this discomfort makes me don't want to talk at all and so tiring eating (i usually eat fast with big bites) small bites - it takes a long time and the other side of the gum feels a little bit warm, had to press ice wrapped in kitchen towel to cool it down so discomfort will be less.

Don't worry! The LA that the dentist give u before extraction, really really makes u numb 100%. You won't feel a thing.

*
only when the wisdom tooth is causing u problems.. if not, not recommended to undergo wisdom tooth extraction.

just keep that site clean from food debris.

just gargle with mouthwash you have access to: salt water, listerine, Difflam etc...

purchase pain killers from your nearest pharmacy.

antibiotics? no need.

I did my wisdom tooth extraction at Damansara Uptown, i think it's called Uptown Dental Surgery, next to speedmart 99.
Very skilful dentist I think he's graduated from Australia. Cost me about RM 800 without sedation, but the procedure was almost painless, but he did warn me about the after effects.

I had mine done at Prime Dental Clinic at Setia Alam (shah alam) in December 2011. I chose to get the top left one out first. It's not impacted and it was a really easy removal (cost me RM150).

First dentist gave me 2 shots (one of the outer gum and one at the inner gum) and wait for a few mins. Not sure what she did but it felt like she's using the flat screwdriver to pull out the tooth abit so it'll be looser and in the end she probably use those pliers to pull it out. My gum was not swollen or hurt in the process.

She advised me to take 1 painkiller after 2 hours and I did but after 4hrs of taking the painkiller, totally no pain at all. I suspect if i didn't take the painkiller, probably won't feel any pain at all. However, bleeding was going on for about 3 days but minimal only.

Will be getting the other 3 out soon!!

How come need to cut open the gum to extract since it's not impacted? My dentist told me that any tooth that grows upright, is ok to be extracted without any cutting/surgery.

my case it's still semi-covered by the gum, didn't came out fully
and the food debris always got stuck in there and difficult to clean, as a result, it will get infected and swollen up few times in a year with free sickness like fevers and headaches doh.gif

now it's good riddance, one down, another one more to go! flex.gif

anyway... I asked the dentist to remove both at the same time, so that it's only suffer for once, rather than 2 session of suffering
but he insisted the best procedure is to take out one side only, unless it's a real emergency case

luckily I heed his advice, as I still can chew on the solid food with my other side, else I would have to go for liquid diet for the next few days laugh.gif

_______________________________________________________________________________________

[I][U] I CALLED THEM AND ASK FOR WISDOM TOOTH EXTRACTION. THEY SAID RM 600. DIDNT ASK WHETHER NEED SURGERY OR NOT.

WENT TO SETIA ALAM PRIME DENTAL CLINIC AS WELL. WITHOUT SURGERY ( IF THE WISDOM TOOTH OUT ALREADY, RM 150. IF NEED SURGERY RM 450, QUITE REASONABLE.)

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING THIS. SHE IS A VERY PROFESSIONAL DOCTOR.

I WENT TO ER AND TOLD HER MY GUMS/TOOTH IS HURTING AND I SUSPECT ITS THE WISDOM TOOTH ON THE LOWER LEFT AND I WANT IT REMOVE.

SHE CHECK CHECK AND SHOWED ME THROUGH A MIRROR THAT IT'S NOT THE ONE THAT'S HURTING.

SHE ADVISE TO REMOVE THE UPPER WISDOM TOOTH THAT'S HITTING MY LOWER GUM.

SHE SAID, IF SHE DOES THAT. IT WILL ONLY COST RM50 BECAUSE IT DOESNT REQUIRE SURGERY.

SHE DID IT, AND THE PAIN WAS GONE.

SHE COULD HAVE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF THE PAIN AND STILL EARN MONEY AND HAVE MY LOWER WISDOM TOOTH SURGERY FOR RM450. (BECAUSE THE TOOTH IS STILL A BIT INSIDE THE GUMS)

VERY NICE DOCTOR. I BROUGHT MY SON FOR FILLING AND THE TOOTH LOOKS PERFECT!!

Added on July 15, 2012, 8:51 amI WENT TO PRIME DENTAL CLINIC. VERY GOOD DOCTOR. WITHOUT SURGERY RM 150. WITH SURGERY RM450. SHE WILL CHECK THE PROBLEM FIRST AND WILL TELL YOU WHAT SERVICE YOU WILL NEED.

NOT LIKE OTHER DENTIST, YOU COME ASK FOR WISDOM TOOTH REMOVAL BECAUSE ITS PAINFUL AND THEY JUST REMOVE IT WITHOUT CHECKING.

THEN CHARGE CHARGE CHARGE

Nah, don't think it's pricey at all.

Considering alot of the dental clinics in Klang Valley charges more than this. Furthermore my dentist is really professional, unlike some, they just do what you tell them to do without giving you any options or advises.

well obviously its gonna cost some pain Dx
just like extracting the teeth for braces, but i assume much more painful? since it involves (cutting) the gums

I have 4 wisdom tooth myself and waiting on 2 to grow, my other 2 grew perfectly without any irritation or infection
i didnt have to remove them but because they are on top and at the very end its difficult to care for it, its a better option to remove ...my dentist said its possible tht the bottom ones would grow out perfectly just like the top ones but during the 1 year process i'll feel some irritation and infections

so far no infection but the pain comes once in a while >_<
*fingers crossed*

any good recommendation in kuching, sarawak ??
last year end , i felt very painful at the lower left wisdom tooth, but all famous clinics were full with patients so I suffered the pain by taking painkiller.

after few months, the pain was gone and now there is a big hole at the tooth and it seems getting bigger in size.

so i go for operation or let it "lost" in natural ?

I think if you want to settle it earlier .. go for the minor surgery to remove it instead of waiting for it to get worse with more decay affecting the neighboring tooth ..

I extracted 2 of mine at a clinic near J&J cafeteria. 1 semi impacted and another fully impacted.

Currently studying in KL, had headaches. Went to the dentist to check. Had an x ray done. Extracted my bottom left one first. Took about 30 minutes including stitching. Painless. Costs about RM600.

I did my 2nd one which was impacted badly the next semester holiday. Costs Rm500+ because I don't need x ray this time. Procedure took near to 1 hour including stitching. Fkin hurts even with painkillers. Can feel nerve pain shooting. I don't recommend going to this dentist. My GF had hers done somewhere else in Kuching. Costs RM800 but procedure took only 8 minutes.

You meant, both teeth were removed at the same clinic near J&J ?

I heard one famous dentist at 3rd miles, near Naim building, is good but very pricy , about RM1000. sweat.gif

Where your gf went to?

--

Even for RM800, I think it is still too pricy. sad.gif

But I think, that should be the normal price range for private clinic.

By default that's the normal price range around for private clinics ranging in between RM650 - RM1,000 per tooth depending on how severe your case is.

It's the 4th day and yet my gums are still abit swollen can't really bite and chew much .. sweat.gif

most ppl will have 4 wisdom teeth... upper left, upper right, lower left, lower right..... but not all may be visible as it may be stuck hidden under the gum/bone..... some ppl may have one or more missing wisdom teeth... it's not 'hidden', it's missing... not formed at all.....

some... very rarely... have more than the complete 4 wisdom teeth! for example..... another wisdom tooth behind the lower left wisdom tooth....... wisdom teeth are known as 3rd molars... the additional wisdom teeth is known as the 4th molar.....

99% of the upper wisdom teeth can be removed by normal extraction.... 20% of the lower wisdom teeth needs surgery removal......

My lower right back gum was swelling the entire last week but i thot it was caused by foods stuck between the back gum and my teeth. Bought some Ponstan and try to get the 'food' to come out. But since the swelling didnt reduce and i started to have neck pain and headache on my right side, i went to the dentist in Seksyen 14, PJ.

Hence, the photo above is a self explanotary.

I was told that my wisdom tooth is actually overlapped or touching or too near to the nerve line. My dentist did not have the expertise to handle such case since its too near to the nerve and he recommended me to go to a specialist in Taman Megah, PJ.

My question is, can i just let the wisdom tooth as it is? Any impact in the future?

I read that it will be bad if the nerves kena kacau in the process removing the wisdom tooth...u will get numb and all.

Hope to get some feedbacks.

Cheers.

The swelling is normal and sounds very mild in your case.
The dentist must have been quite experienced.

My brother said his friend had fever, gums and side of his face swelled
really badly and painfully, and he had to survive on porridge for a month.

The security guard in Sri Hartamas where I work said his swelled
for two weeks, eating porridge as well.

If the $250 is for a surgical procedure (cutting the tooth in half, cutting the gums too),
then it is really cheap by today's prices.

This MAHSA college has a dental clinic at the ground floor of Wilayah Complex.

The guard at the reception counter said real cheap - normal procedures like
extraction and filling costs just $10, done by students under a dentist's supervision.

You could try asking the cost of wisdom tooth surgery there.

Way back in 1994, Dr James Loh, clinic on top of Kentucky, opposite the old
Federal cinema in Jln Raja Laut, charged me just $200 for a root canal on the
bottom right second molar, which is still good to this day.

I was then supposed to have followed up with surgery for the wisdom which had
impacted into it, which would have cost another $200 then. However, I lost my
guts and did not do so ! The wisdom is still impacted there to this day.

I heard he's shifted to Pantai and now charges some $750 for wisdom surgery.

Both sides of my face still swollen now, no fever though, having yogurt for breakfast and porridge for lunch and dinner. Need to go back in a week time to remove the stitches.

Ahhh. Oh well. sad.gif
A family friend introduce me to this doctor, apparently he is really good in removing wisdom tooth. 3rd day now and the swelling doesn't seem to be going down.

But I think I would be more scared if I were concious. Haha.

Quite cheap. If no surgery is required, it is usually not impacted.

Extracted a 45 degree wisdom tooth (bottom left) last Saturday.

Dentist injected about 4 times of LA. She then had to drill the tooth. Kept having feeling that it's been 'drilled' so she injected more LA.... I think maybe 10 times in total?

After having a hard time taking out the first piece (she had to break the tooth into 3), she tried to take out the 2nd piece but it didn't want to come out so she broke it into 2 again. Finally after it's out, she had to make sure the area does not have any small fragments of broken tooth from drilling earlier.

She 'sew' back the gums and yeah... not much bleeding (as per my last 2 top normal grown wisdom tooth). No pain at all.

Into day 5 now..... need to go back to dentist to get the threads out this sat! biggrin.gif I think it's going all right!

Gonna get the last one out 3rd week of Aug!! biggrin.gif

Cost me RM750 though...

Cheers.

ewww..... ur pic just look like mine... i did my extraction many months back.... the upper part is easy job..then down part is the pain in the arses...find a good ortho surgeon cause its not a simple task. they need to break it into few pieces, cut a bit if not enuv space n sew it back. if its near the nerves it might have risk cause numbness also...
if left untreated it will affect the next tooth to become decay...end up u gotta pull 2 out...

do you mean sedation during surgery the patient was asleep or just the normal sedation that the patient was awake during the surgery?

I remembered i had to remove wisdom tooth my left bottom side at UITM by the specialist itself.

He did it very gentle, but about an hour have to open my mouth, even without the pain, i felt tired opening my mouth for so long

I remembered the whole process. I was not driving but i remembered every single thing after surgery and the journey back home.

During the surgery, the doctor had my eyes closed with cloth, i can only see the tools going into my mouth, and a nurse/student holding a vacumm to suck the blood.

he had to break my tooth to small2 pieces, i think at least got about 8-10 pieces

As my wisdom tooth really touches the nerve, he advice at first he wont be pulling the root, and leave it in.

However since he was being very careful and gentle, he manage to pull my wisdom tooth out without damaging my nerve.

now i have to remove the wisdom tooth on my right side, both up and bottom

I would want to remove both at the same time, at least i only endure the pain 1 time instead have to go for another trip

I have been delaying this surgery for 3 years now i really have to do. It is giving me headache, and i cant sleep at night due to the pain.

I am not on the lookout for a place to do.

My sister told me the clinic gigi in bangsar are doctors whom are professional, however unsure if they do the surgery there.

i am still searching for the clinic which is affordable

Dr B,
I had my lower wisdom tooth extraction last December. I still feel numbness in my lower lip till this day. I believe the surgery damaged my inferior alveolar nerve. My concern is will it recover and how long it may take normally? What shall I beware of?

It might mean the tooth, or the gums, are infected.

You can't stop it with medication. Go see a dentist to check it out.

Gargle salt water.

Apply Gengigel and gargle with the mouthwash for the moment.

If your pocket is tight, you could try Mahsa Dental, run by their college
students, supervised by a dentist.

Just on the left of the main entrance of Wilayah Complex in Campbell Road.

I heard they charge just $10 for a filling or extracton.

That's why I don't dare take out my lower right wisdom to this day.

The 8th hearing nerve (I have tinnitus) and 9th facial nerve also runs nearby there.

If it is not causing any problems, leave it alone.

You could ask a dentist to fill up the cleavage there, to prevent tiny food particles
from falling in, causind insidious bone loss at the bottom.

I had been doing that for many years, after the second molar in front
of it had a root canal done, due to the wisdom impacting on it and corroding it.

However, the dentist outside my house persuaded me to crown the second
molar, which I now regret, as it has made me $ 1,000 poorer for nothing.

After he crowned it, he did not want to fill up that ravine or cleavage, cos he
said the tooth needed to ''breathe'' thru the gap there.

Now I have to find another dentist to do that.

sorry... din see this earlier on... I assume you are referring to me. Yes. Your inferior dental nerve is damaged or severed. Happens to 1-2% of wisdom teeth surgeries.

Are you feeling numbness or altered sensation around your lip? Is the affected area getting smaller over the months? If the nerve is damaged(pressure, pulling, stretching, compressed) during surgery, it should recover over a few months... some takes as long as 18 months. If after 18 months you still have the numbness then it's most probably gonna be permanent...... as for severed nerve, it almost never recover.

that's one of the reasons why you should have removed your wisdom tooth as soon as possible. If not, it will cause the molar next to it to go bad. patching up the gap between that 2 teeth will make things worst.

that's one of the reasons why you should have removed your wisdom tooth as soon as possible. If not, it will cause the molar next to it to go bad. patching up the gap between that 2 teeth will make things worst.
*
Yes, that was why that first dentist did the root canal on the second molar,
way back in 1994.

He was supposed to have followed up with removing the wisdom then.

But then I have tinnitus, that is why I have not dared to touch the wisdom
to this day.

I have heard too many horror stories about complications after surgery on
the wisdom.

It's already been 20 years anyway.

Different dentists have different opinions though. Pristine Dentist in Jalan SS 3/39,
quite famous too, said filling up the gap between the two molar was a good
thing to prevent food dropping in.

Now this other dentist who had crowned that second molar, Firdaus Dental nearby
in Jalan SS 1/22, doesn't want to fill up that crevice. He says food will still get trapped
there, but it would just slide off the crown and won't be able to drop in.

the only nerve that's close enough to warrant a knee jerk reaction is the inferior dental nerve and the lingual nerve..... dun have to worry about tinnitus....

filling up the gap will give you false sense of security.... food will still get in and you won't be able to clean that area..... at the end, the molar will have to be extracted.... I've seen lodsa such cases.....

btw, Dr Firdaus is a oral surgeon too.....

DrBarbarian,

In the case of lower wisdom tooth extraction with gum incision, is it necessary to take antibiotics after the oral surgery?

The dentist who persuaded me to crown the second molar and performed it
was Dr Yogesh, a younger dentist, presumably under part-time contract there.
He is normally in one of the bigger practices in Bangsar.

My top 2 wisdom tooth is already out however the top left one grew 45° sideways outward. None of them are causing any pain or discomfort to me but my 2 front top tooths have been buckling inwards. I would say that my predicament has been like this for about 2 years+.

Has anyone experienced this b4? Are the effects of my situation harmful or detrimental?

I also had this. It was quite painful at first but after few months, I finally got used to it.

10 years back, was told it was RM300 or so per side. Now it is at least doubled. I did went to gov dentist clinic to survey and still cost 1/2 of what the private charges.

My friend used to recommend one above Hong Leong Bank in Desa Jaya, but I walked in and out in less than 5 minutes after being told the waiting time.

Another one was near Happy City Food Court. Besides got car showroom one. Also walked out in less than 5 minutes after I saw the queue.

I used to go to this Dr Menon along Jalan Kepong (Behind got pasar and SJK Kepong). He is quite old now and personally I really scare to go to him now.

My bottom lip and chin back to normal this morning but my the right side of my tongue and gums still numb and some tingling sensation on my tongue. May I know whether it's normal or will it recover? I'm really worry that the dentist damage my lingual nerve. cry.gif

This is my story and it is still continuing up till now. At 20 years old... after six years in the waiting list.... My time has finally come for using braces. My teeth on the surface aint that bad - i thought. So, i decided to take the opportunity since i have waited for so long for it. To me - there are two problems.

1) There is a tooth at the front that grows behind another teeth because it(the font) wasnt remove when its wobbling (the doc fault - she said that it will come out on its own given the condition of its "wobbliness" - yea right! until another came up behind it - then she pull out the front. I want to re-align that one cause it is see-able and not so good looking when i smile.

2) My teeth are all BIG. So instead of a U shape teeth.. the back(straight U line) was pushed a little to middle of my mouth. Not causing me much problem tho since no one sees it and it doesnt hurtn at all.

3) Ok then. I decided to have my braces. Took an x-ray. Wow! A lot of other problems emerged. Since all of my teeth are big... there are 4 wisdom/molar/back teeth (2 at each side all sleeping horizontally and are still inside my gum. It doesnt/never ever hurt tho.

4) The doc decision. To make space in order to re-align the U shape teeth. Took out 4 normal teeth. 1 up and 1 down on both side of my teeth. Next sending me to hospital for another 4 teeth using surgery, stiches and gold chain (gigi garaham/molar teeth - 1 up and 1 down on both side of my teeth) - they cant upright the other back teeth at that time due to excessive bleeding/ in my mouth so ended up putting gold chain to link it with its upper teeth to slowly pull it out of the gum as i talk.

5) Back at clinic. The back tooth with the chain is causing problem. It simply doesnt want to upright itself. The doc ended inserting something like a screw and slowly screw it at my front gum (i feel the screw when he insert it!) - using it as a "pole" to pull all of my big teeth on my side to front - in order to give space for the back tooth to come up.

6) The process of uprighting the back tooth takes years!! Even until now. Six years later... Just a little bit of it is surfing up. Its very hard to clean because there's gum covering half if it. Now (14/2/2015), the back tooth that took years to surface is finally got cavity/small hole in it. My teeth hurts and my gum is swollen. I cant eat of swallow w/out feeling pain. Newsflash - my teeth alignment all messed up. Before, it was straight line in front. Now, half of it (the front left side have been pushed into the gum a little so if you see my front gum and teeth.. the gum is not centered - i asked the doc if it can be fix but she said "we will see when the time come to re-align it. Our priority now is to upright the back tooth" (me: that has now has hole in it after years of waiting for it to upright).

P/s: I already took out 8 of my teeth. Can i just took out that back teeth and its' upper pair (it a must so that the upper one w/out its pair wont gnaw at the lower gum) - that is causing me so much pain and waste of time/years already. Since all of my teeth are big... there is not much of a problem even with less teeth cause it still fill my mouth due to their size.

I really regret my decision to have this braces. Without it... even with the 4(2 left and 2 right) back/molar/wisdom teeth still sleeping inside my gum... It wont cause me any trouble/pain at all as they have not in my 20years. Now, everything is messed up - my gum, my teeth. My next appointment is 10/3/2015. I will bring out the question of pulling that back tooth out(since it has hole already) and will see what my doc has to say.

I had been in MOS twice to remove my wisdom tooth.
Injections that they will give you will not make u feel any pain. Just make sure you took powerful pain killer such as Celebrex/Arcoxia immediately before MOS. So you wont feel any pain after the injections lose its effect.

I was told if you go on general anesthetic (where you go to sleep for a few hours), they will be more rough on you and your swelling won't go off as fast. Right DrBarbarian? laugh.gif

I did my 2 bottom wisdom teeth under GA, swelling lasted for weeks lol. Of course during procedure no feeling nothing, but the healing part was suffering.

Anyway, merging this to the existing wisdom tooth thread.

Old thread but figured that I should ask. I have a horizontal wisdom tooth (bottom row). I initially started flossing 3 years ago as I cant get food out with just gargle. After all these time of flossing after every meal for 3 years, now there is a gap between my wisdom tooth and 2nd molar. Food still do get stuck but the gap is large enough that even my tongue or some gargle can get rid of the food.

Question is that, do I need to extract it? I extracted 2 before on the upper jaw but they were simple unlike this one where the dentist told me I need to do a minor surgery. So far no pain or discomfort at all with regards to my current described wisdom tooth.

I removed all 4 of my wisdom teeth last year by minor surgery (I was put on general anesthetic and was warded for 2 days).

One of my wisdom tooth was horizontal too and sometimes food got stuck in between the gum which led it to swell.

My dentist suggested me to extract it as it will do harm to my other tooth.

Have you referred your dentist?

Went to a dentist and he suggested extraction after seeing the x-ray. However, according to the dentist, there is no hurry as I am keeping my teeth in general clean. After doing some thinking, I think that rather than my flossing that made the gap, its the tooth moving as it tries to straighten itself.

So far no pain or discomfort with the wisdom tooth, but its something I will be considering.

Wisdom Tooth Extraction - To extract or not extract depends on many circumstances. Try not to wait until there is pain or swelling before deciding to extract it. There could be two common answer due to pain of the wisdom tooth. One reason is that it is growing and the other is that there is an infection. In all cases, an x-ray should be taken before any extraction of the wisdom tooth to totally confirm the diagnose and also for the safety of the person. There is a huge nerve that runs through in the jaw bone and if surgery is indicated to remove the wisdom tooth, the dentist would like to avoid damaging the nerve.

"Prevention is better than cure." That is why dentist always recommend to have a check up on your wisdom teeth. Not all people need to remove their wisdom teeth because some people has perfect growing wisdom teeth. Common case, if the wisdom tooth is giving you a difficult time or even painful, usually an extraction is indicated. As some wisdom tooth may grow into your front molar teeth causing real pain. If that happens sometimes two teeth needs to be extracted. Let your dentist take a look at your wisdom tooth before deciding to extract it, as sometimes you might not even need to extract it and a small surgical called Operculectomy is more than enough. This is where the dentist just smoothen the gums covering the wisdom tooth.

Take care everyone. rolleyes.gif

OK. My wisdom tooth just chipped this afternoon after lunch.

before that i've been eating corn kennel snacks which is abit crunchy.

so it's possible it's a decay, but have to wait for checkup to tell.

since it's lower wisdom tooth, half inside the meat, it would require minor operation.

any advise? how do they close the wound as i don't think they can just stitch it back? is it true will have difficulty eating afterwards?

will it be painful even with anesthetic?

also about the x-ray, is it common practice for dentist? or only certain dental have x-rays? or need to x-ray in advance?

Hi guys,

My upper wisdom tooth one of it has somehow chipped off a portion of it due to biting hard things I believe. Previously it was just a minor chip-off. But it's been suffering more "erosion" / chip-off now. Lol

Do dentist accept repairing the wisdom tooth or they straight recommend extraction?

I'm afraid if only one upper wisdom extracted, will all the upper teeth re-align and become unbalanced? Ie. the 2 front (incisors) no longer align on the center but shifting to the side where the wisdom has been extracted?

Actually this wisdom is quite heavily used in my case. As most of my chewing is done by the lower molars and the upper wisdom, which somehow match with my lower molars. So it would be somewhat lost of an important asset for chewing if extracted.

It depends on the dentists. If you consult one who believes that wisdom teeth should be extracted (like some holistic dentists do in the west), s/he will likely suggest that you have all of yours extracted. If that is not the philosophy of the dentist, then upon checking your wisdom tooth, s/he may advise you to take care of it in a certain way (brushing technique and such) if the tooth is not too far gone or extract it if it is too damaged. Definitely, you could ask him/her if it's possible to repair the chipped wisdom tooth. The dentist will decide that. This one may require a dental x-ray.

I feel sorry. If the chipping did not happen, you would not be here, but it did. I don't enjoy the thought of my teeth going out of alignment after extraction but if a wisdom tooth is giving me trouble, I will go to see a dentist. About teeth alignment, I will also seek for the dentist's advice and expertise on this area.

is it really necessary to extract wisdom tooth even if it doesn't give you any pain or problem at the moment?

because i have people and even dentist telling me is better to extract at young age so in the future won't give you any problem

Mine was RM 400 but I did it in a specialist. That amount was inclusive of medication for 1 week and some medication to make me sleep throughout the operation.  Mine was difficult to ask mine was horizontal and embedded in the flesh.

Can you give me the address of the clinic? Do they still do wisdom tooth removal under General Anaesthetic (sleeping)?

Any recommendation on dental places that do wisdom tooth removal under GA(sleeping)?

I removed all 4 of my wisdom teeth last year by minor surgery (I was put on general anesthetic and was warded for 2 days).

One of my wisdom tooth was horizontal too and sometimes food got stuck in between the gum which led it to swell.

My dentist suggested me to extract it as it will do harm to my other tooth.

Have you referred your dentist?

How much did you do your 4 wisdom tooth removal under General Anesthetic? Thanks.
