anyone tried spring buffer? the front spring of preve seems to be a bit soft. every time going a bit too fast over humps that are slightly higher or in parking lot that the entry or exit path are too steep, the underneath hooks will scratch the road. doh.gif

pull down ur steering, then slot in some form to make the meter panel more firm. But once you solve this, there are more to come... i am now facing the rattling sound from the push start button area  rclxub.gif

For my case, the rattling sound came from the driver side dashboard, between the aircond vent and the meter panel. When I used my finger to press it slowly, the sound is gone. Happened during hard acceleration n more prominent under hot weather. Went to SC n requested to put some paddings on that area, less rattle happening now. Fingers crossed that it won't come back.

I got clicking sound too but from the driver door upper trim when maintaining speed of 130-140++kph. I lightly pressed my hand there to verify that sound was from there. The sound came sometimes so I just ignored it. Reported to SC but was told nth can be done.

upper trim near dash or near door latch?
you can open the whole panel, slow a form tape on it.
i did that for both front door, basically killed the sound. but i have random rattling a front passenger door when idle. the sound is there even without whole door panel.

At the place where traditional car door lock is located. The clicking sound noise is very soft.

any idea what is the brand of airbag our preve is using? Takata seems to be a problem now as a lot of car brands being recalled for its airbags.

With the Preve, no issues with road bumps, but on 2 occasions when exiting the basement parking garage at The Intermark along Jln Tun Razak, the car's front lower bumper never fails to hit the inclined ramp, and it always ends with a loud bang as I always drive a bit faster. I am guessing the car may not hit the inclined ramp if the traveling speed is slow. Having said that I didn't have the chance to try driving slow for the 3rd time, yet.
*
The parts got hit normally r the hooks at the front. Try to bend down and u will c scratches at the hooks and if left long enough rust will start to appear. Preve suspension stiffness and weight can the cause here. As u go too fast toward inclined ramp, the tyre might have already moved up but not the car body, therefore the hook(s) hitting the road. For road humps the same happen n if the road right after the hump is lower, the car weight could also cause the front end to dive more.

From time to time, just sand both scratched hooks with sand paper, wash, dry n spray with black paint to avoid rust.
