Spending whole day waiting at SC, ended up will upset mood, waiting for 2 months plus warranty part thought can be install today who know end of the day the staff only told me my part was mistook for another requestor so I have to wait again for the part delivery by coming day. Speechless and what a disapointed to those spare part department. 2 days before had called for confirmation, this kind of situation still can happen. Now have to request my service agent to keep close monitoring this... Really up post..

I'm way disappointed that whether proton had trained their technician professionaly when attend to simple claim issue just like my case for the driver seat cushion exchange. Broke the wire connector head below car seat and now it getting easy to be disconnect. Solving one problem and create another problem again. I'm too tired with this all...
Sifu, Pls advise will this cause any issu during driving? How I'm gonna fix this by myself? It seem the yellow wire is connecting inside car carpet. not dare to go back Proton SC again. Pls help and thx in advance... Is not my day 😢 |

dear all preve owner,
I have 2 inquiries that required sifu's guide, sorry if i make stupid question here. thx in advance. 1. where can i find step by step open the passenger side door compartment since I hate with the crack crack sound when the window glass closing and opening. it happen on and off previously but become serious recently. i have difficulty to visit SC for long queuing by certifying this issue so was thinking to have luck if i can fix/ find something wrong when compartment are open up by my own. thx. 2. Is that true/must we have to pull hand brake before putting the gear nod to "P" else it gonna hurt the gear box. i didn’t practices this since day one but keep seeing ppl sharing article to advise ppl do so. thx again |

QUOTE(ChuanHong @ May 11 2015, 03:04 PM) 1. try to use some power window lubricant by your own.. 1 bottle costs few ringgit only.. i bought around rm7.. i do have the sound on my driver side previously at some time.. so i go service centre and ask them put some lubricant, but they said finished.. LMAO.. so i decided to do it myself.. PROBLEM SOLVED.. no more the sound when open and closing the power window.. may i know where you apply the window lubricant? just wipe on your window glass? mine one only sound when glass is almost closing or just right window opening. 2. no need.. no such things la.. just in slope area, pressing brake pedal, put P, engage handbrake, then only release foot brake.. allright, thx bro. but why ppl still spead wrong info since this is something firmed.. |

QUOTE(ChuanHong @ May 12 2015, 08:12 AM) i never saw my dad and my relative gearbox die up or worn out after the pattern of stopping the car and put P first only engage handbrake.. big thx bro i knew that article, it's chinese article.. there stated must handbrake first, switch off engine then only put P at last.. in most vehicle right now, must put P first only switch off engine one.. just do our practice, foot brake>P gear>handbrake up>release foot brake>switch off engine.. that's all.. Buy something like this power window lubricant can solve your window sound. [attachmentid=4444532] |

QUOTE(sanadi @ May 11 2015, 09:21 PM) Old myth die hard. The same goes to "You must warm up the car before moving". That one should've died in the 2000s when EFI cars became the norm. QUOTE(ChuanHong @ May 12 2015, 12:45 PM) welcome.. here is the platform to sharing info and help each other.. i help you, you help me.. haha no need.. actually SC they lazy to do it, just a little effort to fix only.. haiz.. nvm.. DIY.. hahha.. i may share, i bought this around rm7.50.. but you guys may look around at Mr. DIY for waxco brand, around rm6.90.. then just apply it with the instruction on the bottle.. just apply the lubricant on window rubber lining there only.. then exercise the power window up & down few times.. magicccc~ no more glass cracking sound.. at least 2 months ago i applied till now, no more sound appear.. Thx a lot dude! |

Guys,
Did anyone know is there any service charge or GST apply during certifying problematic power window at SC? If not mistaken power window come with 10yrs warranty right. Hi Chuan Hong, The window lubricant seem doesn't help on my problematic power Window. No luck, anyway thx for your kind suggestion. |

QUOTE(ChuanHong @ May 16 2015, 04:11 PM) hi.. can u describe more on your issue? yes Chuan Hong. exactly what you described here. mines the mechanical glass crack likely sound when i wind down a bit from fully close condition as well as during wind up until nearly fully close. i guess we are having same condition but mines can't be solve by just applied lubricant at rubbery lining area. i just went to SC last week and took me whole day waiting there but do nothing for me besides just spray "silicone spray" at rubbery lining area for 2mins .. that's all !@#$@$@#$. i'm please the technician to help me take a look inside the power window but been refused so as they said "kita half day ja, leceh nak buka tu pintu, lagi pun you punya power window spring dah improved version. tak kan ada problem cam kereta yr2012-13. tu i dah spray, tunggu sejam tu akan hiling bunyi"... sigh!!! as expected the problem still exist today.. i feel fed up with this minor minor problem that need to heading SC frequently but have to wait whole day like idiot but they do nothing after this and just keep ask you come back again... WTH.my window issue is when i wind down the window until half, it will got "kheak" glass crack sound, when window up until full, got the sound again.. my problem like window stucked on rubber there.. if you put some lubricant at rubber lining ady still problem exist, then might need to refer to SC.. hopeflly your issue can solve asap |

QUOTE(ChuanHong @ May 18 2015, 01:52 PM) they do have their procedure to go.. so first things they do are spray silicone lo.. just same as what we done apply lubricant.. if not working, then might need dissemble the door and check ady.. thk bro... will keep a try again then.. since you apply by your own, problem still there have to check le.. nvm, find 1 day and go again.. they surely have to dissemble the door ady.. i face this before, they lazy to do.. even spray silicone also said dont have before check with storekeeper.. so ok lo nvm, since that time i just saja passby and ask only.. after that, i jsut apply that lubricant by my own and settled.. just yours have to follow up back by yourself le.. cant help on that ady.. that one need wait 1 hour is cheat.. i put my lubricant, direct settle and smooth ady.. no need wait 1 hour.. i recommend you try your own again.. wind down the window fully.. apply lubricant your own on 2 side rubber lining.. after that, wind up&down continously for 10 times like that.. and check see.. after apply then just wind up&down.. no need wait.. |
