2 years 2 months now, car started to having problem during engine start.
before this, 'engine overflow' due to air filter already koyak.
now, sometimes smooth start, sometimes need to try 3-4 times.

is it because of battery about to kong?
or spark plugs need change? already 1 year not change.

i think all these problems are due to not following every 3 month schedule service,
i sent for service every 5k km which takes about 3-5 month.

Does Proton specify 3 months for the 5,000km service? FWIW it is usually 6 months for either 5,000km or 10,000km service whichever comes first.

You can have your car checked at the service centre when your car is due for the next service. My car is 2 years 11 months old and no issues with starting the car. The scheduled maintenance for my car is 10,000km, usually 6-7 months interval.

yup, its either 3 month or 5000km, whichever come first

If you haven't changed your battery, do it now. It will just die suddenly without any normal symptoms (alarm sounds weaker, dim headlight etc).

i see, i was thinking to keep spare in car boot and when kong can change DIY
proton quote price for century brand around rm340.
what other brand reliable? preferably more cheaper.

Century is normally RM 250-RM260 only, I changed mine to Yokohama Gold for the same price.

Beware if you change by yourself, my friend and I had to take our cars to SC to do tuning due to the CVT clutch went sluggish when we changed the batteries by ourselves (CFE).

wah..so the safe way is to buy batt then ask SC to install it?
cause SC markup batt price quite high sweat.gif

Not a must. But technically, ramcar batteries are of good quality.

yeah, i had my battery check yesterday, he said still good
can last another year maybe, now already 2 years shocking.gif
but SC price for ramcar is 450++, century 340++
i think i will just buy outside n if any problem sent to SC
