QUOTE(ben3003 @ Apr 5 2015, 11:01 AM) i attended defensive driving course, they say if full syn oil can straight use, if semi or mineral have to let it run awhile.. car like alza will show the blue color temp symbol indicating the car is still cold, need to wait tat to go off only can drive. Hmm, i think this topic has been myth busted quite a bit. Chances are you drive out of your residential area or better still multistorey car park, its already plenty warm up. Not an issue unless someone can hit 100 3 second after reversing his car out.

QUOTE(SportyHandling @ Apr 21 2015, 11:29 AM) Wise choice not to do hard acceleration with the car (>4000 RPM) as the sound from the Campro engine is unpleasant with any hard acceleration RPMs >4000 ~ 5000 +. Sometimes if there is a need for quick acceleration, there is a tendency to step hard on the pedal thus driving up the RPMs, though in actual fact the acceleration may not be quicker than acceleration in lower RPMs ie. 2000-4000 RPM which I understand is the ideal RPM range where the highest torque is available. Hmm, so you suspect constant abuse might cause knockin/pinging issue? I'm also using 95 petronas, no noticeable difference between brand or 97. Just random berserk after passing toll, kinda stuff. Cruise at 140 at long distance highway.

QUOTE(plumberly @ May 7 2015, 07:56 AM) Just realised this morning that I am over paying for my Preve Turbo. Why? I hardly ever use functions like auto cruise, swift(?) paddle, etc and worst of all, my ESC is faulty which the SC still has not fixed it! Paying extra for a turbo and not using the extra features. Dumb buyer! Ha. My town is so small that auto cruise etc tak dapat pakai. Cheerio. Dude, its not small town or big town. Its about getting out of town. And your typical bmw owner prob had way more crap they dont use....

In terms of stress, i would put it like this, say between 150-170 you take 10 sec, and 170-190 you take 20 sec. So, its not worth to go beyond 170 (just my estimation, mileage may vary).

Great info, ppl. Anyway, just want to throw in my thoughts. I wouldnt baby the preve or ss just because some other car that cost twice or more is quieter or smoother. Just abuse it as you see fit, it cant crap out that easily, even if its proton.

QUOTE(mengsuan @ Jun 20 2015, 02:17 PM) When I just got my Racechip, I thought it's just a small but unnecessary addition. After half a year, took it apart to change the tune from D-0 to 0-0, the dynamic feeling of the car is amazing. You can feel the liveliness of the car even I had no other modifications on the car to support the increase of boost. If you have potato chip as well, give it a try! Can I at least expect a 10% increase in overall power across the rpm range? (the stated 20% is way too awesome to be believed, though I would love to be wrong) Thanks for sharing.

QUOTE(mengsuan @ Jun 24 2015, 12:49 AM) If just Racechip alone, can't get 10% increase; at least I don't feel it is that much. It needs more tuning on fuel and the ability to hold the boost all the way to high RPM, to get that much of improvement. Means more parts. Thanks again. As expected you have to spend way more than 1k to even come close to endangering your cvt (sure you have heard from many non user). I suppose a catless exhaust would still be the best bang for buck?
