I suspect the Auto Cruise function comes into play. At 1 time, I had accidentally flicked on the Auto Cruise button whilst turning the steering wheel. The effect is high engine rpm at low speed. Seems that the automatic gear won't downshift. I then slowed the car to a stop, switched to "N" and then back to "D". Thereafter, everything's back to normal again.

Hi all,

Right now, my Preve cvt is 3 months+ old. So far so good rclxms.gif
Except rear no. plate, the dealer/Proton  just stick it using black double tape sweat.gif Right now the plate slanting a bit and will likely fall during my trip from hometown.
So can I claim waranty at sc during service or I need to repair it myself ? Any suggestion ?  icon_question.gif hmm.gif

I had the same problem because the surface of the vehicle body is not flat. Don't know why PROTON designs it like this? What I did was DIY. My dealer had used those thicker double-sided tape at both ends of the license plate to compensate for the "angled" surface. I redo it by using another piece of high strength double-sided tape over it on the side to adhere to the vehicle body and then also applied some Super Glue on the side to adhere to the back side of the license plate. After that, it's still okay until now. CAUTION: Do not apply Super Glue on the side to adhere to the vehicle body, otherwise, it may affect your paintwork should you need to remove the license plate in future.

Hello guys, newbie here. Just got my preve premium few days ago.  rclxms.gif

Quick question, how can I update the maps for the gps? Googled about it but only found out discussion about BOSCH. Mine is Blaupunkt i think.

Anyone have updated their gps maps on blaupunkt before? hmm.gif

I recently sent my car to Apple Auto for 60k (major) service. Made appointment few days before the actual day.

I arrived at the SC around 10 minutes before 10am. Service start around 10am as per scheduled. Easy to deal with the advisor. I just told him that I just want to follow the schedule maintenance, nothing less and nothing more. And it is just what they did. You can also hang around the service bay to see your car being service. I also talked with the technician on the conditions of my car.

Total time taken was 2 hours (plus car wash). Probably will return to the centre for next service.

Mind to say how much did you pay altogether?

There's always a hissing sound from the engine bay, near the air-con compressor and radiator area whenever I switch OFF the engine after a drive with the air-con switched ON. It will last for a few minutes and sounds like an air leak. It only happens when the air-con is used during the drive. If I drive without using the air-con, there is no hissing sound.

I had tried to check for air-con gas leakage but there is no trace of compressor oil stains on the pipes, hoses, couplings and joints of the air-con system. Also, the air-con is still as cold as usual.

Can any PREVE CFE drivers here comment or have similar experiences?

Electric water pump. It will be audible if you listen closely after you turn off the ignition of a fully warmed up engine.

Don't think so it could be the water pump. The "hissing" sound is like gas/air leaking and only happens after a drive with the air-con switched ON. Anyway, yesterday I went to the workshop but it did not occur whilst I was there. The mechanic told me that he knew about this phenomenon and said that it is normal because of residual pressure in the air-con compressor. He said that if it's refrigerant leakage, my air-con will not be cold anymore and this makes sense. I have also checked around the hoses, pipes, connectors, couplings and joints of the air-con system and there is no sign of compressor oil stains on them. Will continue to monitor again.

Thanks, quite expensive, considering it is a non-CFE version.
