Should be, some got their shirts from friends working in Apple USa or any othe western countries.

Those are actually only for staffs, but if you go to any of the stores in USA or western countries, you might get one t-shirt as your lucky visitor no. or just it's your day(lucky)... you know!

Front of the shirt, Apple Logo of course...

Back of it, I think "Designed by Apple in California" at the upper neck collar...

Actually back in the eighties (yes I'll admit to being THAT old) when Sapura was the sole distributor for Apple products in Malaysia there used to be monthly Mac User Group meetings held at the Uniphone-Apple (Sapura's Apple division) HQ near the Coliseum cinema in KL.

Part of that meeting was the distribution of the UserGroup "disk" - a 3.5in Floppy with shareware/updates that in the pre-download era was our only way to get access to updates.

(finally coming to the point of this post)

But also we used to get a lot of FREE T-shirts: Newton T-shirts, PowerBook T-shirts, etc etc. Every product launch saw the distribution of more freebies and these were mainly T-shirts.

Wonder what hapenned to that "perk"? Praps the present MUG should revive the practice! Won't cost Lingam and co. all that much methinks.

i was thinking, we could actually ask some t-shirt printers to make these shirts. lucky for us, apple t-shirt designs are awesomely simple, so it won't be difficult for some of us with design skills to actually redraw the design and give it to the printers.

but, that would be illegal eh? sweat.gif

MyMUG does giveaway T-shirt & Polo before. Whenever there's sponsor for it.
Regarding freeware file-sharing, I practice that within a few member. Getting updates and so on.
We also open to other MyMUG members. So practically those "tradition" you mentioned still around.

That wont be "original" get it? It's like buying China branded MP4 nano look-a-like.

Hi guys,

I can order this kind of design if lot of us want it
either we order it from Central Market OR do it on our own
i can get the design in silk screen n print it on many t-shirt as we want it
so, guys, it's your call
BUT the thing is CM is quite expensive
if we have our own slik screen, we can print on our own t-shirt
just bring the shirt n print it on!

this is shortcut method
first, u need to have the item that u want to print on the t-shirt
then go to Jln Ipoh near Damai Kompleks to any silk screen shop
ask them to make a silk screen base on the design u bring along
of course u have to pay for the silk screen
one color for one silk screen
meant that, if your logo got 2 or 3 colors, so, the silk screen will be the same

in our case, we want to print Apple logo right? so, one silk screen ONLY
and we can use ANY color that we like

so, if lot of us interested in doing this Apple Logo on our own t-shirt
just let me know n will do the Apple Logo silk screen ASAP
then i charge u guys base on how many t-shirt u want to print the logo

from my experience doing t-shirt with Central Market are
1-the quality r not good
2-the shirt quite expensive base on order, less the shirt more price

so, i think we have to do it on our own
at least i charge u guys based on shirt and per printing
that's mean own t-shirt cheaper (printing charge only)
if u guys want t-shirt may be around RM20 to RM30 per t-shirt (not confirm yet)
so, for a start let me design it first n show it to all of u
what say u?

hopefully before end of october can wear it

p/s: just simple white logo on black tees
no extra word what so ever rclxub.gif

so far 3 PERSON INTERESTED
