today many older generation of people are getting worry that they will retire.

reason chidren are still studying just like me my dad retire and my mom next year retire

too boring at home get use to work hard to pass their time.

so in this cas should increase the age of retiment.

sources from my uncle in AUS a 65 years old man doing as fronmt office in a bank.

Hi,

The only difference between changing retirement age to 65 has to do with when you can take out your EPF money. Even at retirement age of 55, after retired, people could find another job or start another business if they want to.

Typically, the best time to get married is after you had worked for 4 to 5 years. So, if you goes to college, it is 18 (high school) + 4 ( college) + 5 ( years of working) = 27.

well is pretty hard. people who found a job outside after retire found out that they cannot stand the money income they have as usaul. this statment is true from my mothers freinds. who already retire and usaul income is RM4.5k and now is only 1k. so see the diffrent?
married early sometime is usaless too because where are you going to find money to sapre to feed the kid?

business not everyone can do it because business is some kind of high involvemnt of price to pay of.

a kid minimum expenses until secondary from5 is RM100k including born the babay plus milk everything...

should be no retirement age limit! rclxm9.gif

ok...i know it's impossible.

regarding the marital age, there's no problem on what age you are as long as you are over age and can AFFORD to have a family including able to support kids, if you are 30 years old, married but yet still earning pennies, my advice is dont even think to have more than 2 children. you not only suffer yourself but not having enough money to support their education and everyday life's need will affect your kids growth too.

let's say your kids are talented in music, but you dont have the money to buy them expensive instrument to encourage them(piano and other instruments cost a fortune).

ok,so you say let the kids earn themself what they want, but that would have kill their study time, activities time, social time, family time etc etc.

so the best advice should be work hard, safe hard while you'r still single, and married and get kids fast.

sorry for off topic...

i suggest that retirement age should be increase, at least to 60. see TDM, nearly 80 still active.

Ah_suknat,

Do you understand that retirement age is ONLY relevant to when you can withdraw you money from EPF?? I cannot foresee a world where most of us still have a job when we are 55 years old or older!!! In a real world with age discrimination and globalization, most of us will lose our jobs way before 55. We probably has to start own business before then.

Tkwfriend,

You are assuming that old people has a choice of staying on their job. They probably don't. Please remember that 67% to 75% of Malaysian are less than 35 years old. There are a lot of younger and cheaper employees to replace older folks in Malaysia.

yeap i do understand but now a days there's a lot of things that can be bought with the epf money before you even retired, such as some investment.

hmm...that's why i am not employee type.i dont like to work for others, i rather do business and hopefully retire early yet still got income coming in when get old. high risk? yes it is. you dont hear people getting rich working for salary.unless you'r ceo of a big company.
