i had increased my weight from 56kg to 60kg about 1 and half month time. And for all the secret is EAT and EAT.

I would say that my weight increase is not 100% lean muscle mass, and of course i can see my tummy's layer of fat become thicker also. Anyhow, what i did was eat rice.

9am - breakfast
12pm - lunch
2pm - lunch
5pm - lunch
8pm - dinner
11pm - dinner

for all the lunchs and dinners, i had rice. hahah.... it did really increase my weight and increase my strength. Atleast i can DL 120~130lb now... Still keep on increasing.

why not man? You are 70kg boy, you can do it. But forgot to mention my reps are only up to 5 reps, and the weight i play is starting from heavy become less heavy, it is dropping down. So i will not feel stress out or burn out or feel pain stuffs like that.

Why not? It just means you're not eating enough. I can easily tell you that more than 90% of the skinny guys here who want to get huge aren't eating enough. They think they are but they aren't. I keep stressing diet is more than 50% of the equation.

You can have the perfect training program but if the diet sucks, forget about growing.

BUT, if you have a sub par training program but your diet is good, you can still gain regardless.

and the most important is for the day of workout, plan your meal properly and MUST get enough of carb as energy, it will be good if overload a bit, then play heavy weight, the muscle seems grow much faster that way and the weight of the plate will also keep increasing.

Nice. Now you have another 375lbs to go to catch up with me. wink.gif

Jk. Seriously, keep it up and in a few years or so, I see you deadlifting 400lbs.

hoho.... next semester i have no class, plus in the semester break, i will have about 14 weeks of holiday. I see how fast i can increase the deadlift until. But it is kind of hard to DL heavy as the floor need to have thick floor mate or plastic to do the DL properly as lowering the heavy weight is dangerous.

lol still beginner lar
baru 2 months and my trainer put me mostly on machines for the first month
even today, trainer insisted i use the smith machine ( scares the crap out of me ) , did it half heartedly and went to the power rack for squats  biggrin.gif
*
i also just started DL seriously about 1~2 months ago. Another smith sh*t again, throw away the smith and play the power rack lar..... For my workout, i can do all my exercises on the power rack alone. But weird as my gym there, those big boy dont play the power rack, they keep on playing around the incline, decline, flat bench press, smith machine and also the leg squat machine. What the hell is wrong with them? All they did was bench press every single day. sweat.gif

Trust me man, when you deadlift and squat in the proper way and strict form with those heavy weight, your body will develop a lot of muscles, it is like everywhere like the muscle become thicker or something like that which i have no idea why it happened that way, maybe it got to do with the body muscle overall balancing and symmetry system. Hope you got what i mean. Another thing, dont injure yourself as the heavy weight is dangerous. If you did it, all i can do is laugh.

If your trainer insists you use a Smith machine when there's a power rack, tell him i said he's an idiot. I don't care what qualifications he has.

yeah thx man
but i dont kno how to dl, seen the videos though ( i'll search for it later , no need to post  links or anything), might give it a go at the next legs session
one question, do u squat with the belt on? trainer told me to put it on when i tried squatting 60 kgs; problem is, it feels kinda weird when i take the belt off

to threadstarter , sorry for hijacking thread but its useful stuff ..  smile.gif

ermm... about the belt... for me, the only useful belt is the dips belt, but i made my own (just some simple thing tie with rope). For me opinion, there is no need to use belt atleast you are playing with some serious sh*t weight. When i said serious weight is like 400++~1000++lb of weight, you still can see those powerlifter from china, they dont use belt. It is like asking me shall i use the glove and i would say "f*ck the glove and freaking hold the metal, your hand will be use to it sooner or later".

You have to understand what is the use of the belt, it is kind of long to explain here. You can search around about the belt but i would say it is the same as when i DL, i will just make mine mid section rock tight (to increase the inner pressure of my body , so that the organ and muscle will provide me more strength. I dont know how to say it as i know these when i do i martial art at young age, for those who know what i'm talking about.)
