I wonder how important that ambient sensor in the 360 that huawei decided not to have in their watch. whats the major drawback without the sensor?
*
Night time, or low light situation suddenly feel the screen very bright and not as soothing to the eyes.

And during day time, outdoor might be hard to view.

mean if got steel connect then the rear panel wont be damage or crack? cause in the future if the leather band goes wrong then might need to diy into steel band...  icon_rolleyes.gif

I believe the others have answered this question. Basically crack on the backplate occurs because when your band "wraps" around your wrist, it is placing stress onto the rounded edge of the backplate, particularly if your wrist is small.

What SteelConnect does is that it extends the lugs to make it protruding, so less "wrap" around your wrist, and no contact with the backplate at all, thus minimizing, or even eliminating stress onto the plastic backplate.

And yes, that is the correct way of putting a NATO strap, I have one too. rclxms.gif

About removing the original band to fit in the SteelConnect, you need either a springbar tool, or a very small screw driver, like the ones for electronics or glasses.

However million times better looking than v1
*
Not really, it almost looks the same with my 1st gen + SteelConnect.

For now, USD299 + Shipping + (USD to MYR poor exchange rate) doesn't seem worth it imo.

But in terms of specs, the 2nd gen is definitely much better in their SoC, Screen Resolution and Battery Capacity.

As for v2 thread, any volunteers? I might not be able to keep it up due to busy Q4 2015 schedule. sweat.gif

Can do 1st Gen and 2nd Gen thread together. smile.gif

Anyone waiting for V2 of Moto 360? biggrin.gif

I think generally those who already own the 1st gen won't change to 2nd gen, unless they are die-hard collector/fan.

And those who want to try out, will also most probably settle for 1st gen for now because of the price difference. Sadly due to exchange rate and import/ship fees, 2nd gen really doesn't seem worth it. sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif

Feels like buying the v2, but heck, why no GPS. Wish the leather band is exchangeable with rubber band using the same lugs and why are they releasing two different models.

Looks like I'm keeping my sw3 and get another v2. Lol
*
Get the Moto 360 Sport then. Have GPS.

But the rubber band is not pretty. I had enough with my sw3. Lol. The alllight, I really doubt that it's just a transflective LCD. Lol
*
Haha, because normally people don't really wear a "pretty" watch for sports purpose. tongue.gif

That's why loooo, since I have a sw3, it makes sense for me to get the normal one and how well is it if I'm able to switch between leather and rubber on different occasions for normal outing and sports.

And the rubber straps ain't exchangeable. Dduuuhhhh. Lol

Lai, exhcnage with me. Standalone GPSon sw3 is gooding yooooo albeit, the look. laugh.gif
*
Hehe, I think better for you to buy new one...the price difference not much. tongue.gif

the price difference between the 1st and 2nd gen gonna be huge. maybe 150% more once its reaches our shores. in this kinda situation, mightself just get the moto 360 (2014) as the difference aint that huge.
*
Yes, you are right about this sir. smile.gif

Especially if its your first smartwatch, just want to test/play Android Wear OS. smile.gif

If referring to NATO strap, Bro Someonesim recommended me http://www.cheapestnatostraps.com/ and its really cheap and good, especially if you order in Bulk. smile.gif

If you refer to above website, $20 is only if you want tracking number. Free if over $40 orders, so go find some others to share with you, or simply buy more than one ( I think difficult to resist  tongue.gif  )
*
Yeah, last time I gather a bulk, end up each strap only around RM23-25. But now...lol. sweat.gif

Mine can't even last full day yesterday. I will have to reset the device and try again. Typically its better to reset the device after every major update.

whats the differemce between the 1st n 2nd gen? looks almost the same to me

also will this work with iphone?
*
Yes, Android Wear now can work with iPhone. But only notifications & Google Now I guess. No 3rd party watchfaces coz Apple like to control apps. tongue.gif

Difference between 1st and 2nd? 2nd gen better specs and larger battery. Appearance wise almost no chance, except for the protruded lugs on the 2nd gen for ease of swapping of bands and you can use any standard 22mm watchbands.
