didnt watch the game only the short highlights. still think that the players are tired and JM still want to use best squad. Draw is okay for 2 legs game.

Luckily that 2 games (Pool and MC) are home game and the level and confidence are different.

no point of resting them because they will be rested for the next game, against Bradford.

Good observation,some players deserve a chance or three,even if its from the bench. For instance I don't think there would've been much harm with trying schurrle, seeing the outcome and the fact that it's over two legs.

Overall what's disappointing was how our performance deteriorated after the first half,which rarely happens with a mourinho team. I was expecting us to retain possession a bit better after the break (a goal would be a bonus,really) but man we were atrocious. We made a strikerless pool look like real madrid at times,and that in itself says a lot about our performance.

What i don't understand is how we can go from a superb 5 star showing against swansea,to..this.

2 turning points in the game which we failed to capitalise on were actually those 2 delightful passes from cesc which eden just failed to bring under control. Had he succeeded,he'd be through on goal.

It also has to be said that matic had an absolute shocker today. I think he was imagining himself as messi a few times and promptly gave the ball away. He's been immense thus far,but maybe the lad needs a break? Mikel was much more careful and precise in possession and interceptions. Not something we see everyday now is it?

The main positives for me was the performance of felipe luis at LB and then we finally got a pen after being denied the last..what was it like 5 stonewall incidents in the past?

Cuadrado coming in would be interesting. Provided we get a decent fee for schurrle of course. Not sure if he's been given a fair crack at redeeming himself,but the chances which jose gave him were definitely not 'maximised,' to put it lightly.
