i wanna attach good rear fan/s to the back of my casing.
looking at either 2 80mm ones or 1 120mm fan. my casing can support either one...

my question:
can i simply buy any fan? as i know, can blows one direction. either in, or out of the case....

so how can i know which coolermaster/ thermaltake/ delta fans blow OUT of the casing?
i wanna blow hot air OUT of casing..... or just take the fan , and flip the orientation, that'll do the trick?

there will be only 1 way which is 1 side sucking air in and 1 side blowing air out..
u can just flip the orientation of the fan if ur current fan is blowing in air to ur casing...

if u r thinking to buy fan, take into consideration the rpm of the fan and the cfm of the fan...

Just go buy a Vantec Spectrum UV Led 120MM Fan...

It's nice, it's still not too noisy, large CFM icon_rolleyes.gif

Better to use 1 120MM fan, don't use 2 units of 80MM fans...

1 120MM fan is higher cfm, more silence also... bruce.gif

Rather then to get 2 units of 80MM fan that is to match the CFM of one unit of 120MM fan, then, you'll get a noisy setup... sweat.gif

You don't want your system to be noisy aren't ya? brows.gif

I think he's probably referring to the Evercool series. Yeah those are a decent choice too.
If it's a rear case fan with no obstructions like fan filters or grills, you can use any 120mm fan that spins around 800-1200rpm. Should be quiet and move enough air for most needs.

For intake fan that might have a restrictive fan filter tho, more fan blades + a thicker frame would be better. (eg. the Silverstone that is 32mm thick with 9 blades)

right! smile.gif thanks.. .
however, i chekced all these various fans last night... been up till 5 doing homework and checking fans la smile.gif this is what i found

Spectrum UV LED Fans = RM 20 (bombman's bulk)
>> 80x80x25mm

>> 2900 rpm, 36 cfm 12V, 3W, 34dBA
>> Available colors : Orange-Green , Blue-Green , Green , Blue , Orange (see pics below)

2. Thermaltake 120x120x25 mm Ultra UV Fan Series (Specs : 54.5 cfm , 12V, 0.3A max, 21dBA) - RM 25 (bombman)

and of course, coolermaster's NEON LED fan
Fan Dimension 120x120x25 mm
Number of LEDs 4
Voltage (Volt) 12 VDC
Current (Ampere) 0.15 A±10%
Input Power (Watt) 1.80 W±10%
Speed (R.P.M.) 1220 R.P.M.±10%
Air Flow (CFM) 42.734 CFM

if u intend to take the thermaltake id suggest u test it out first. theyre notorious for understating their noise levels on their fans

usually a fan with that kinda CFM would be 25-31dba

Huhh? shocking.gif

How come u can't find it?
Have u search at lowyat plaza?

Anyway, just got some information about the evercool fans that it's somekind faster rather than the Vantec 120MM...

Vantec maximum speed is 1600RPM

While the Evercool that dinster bulks is 2000RPM [Blue Led]

And the noise is kinda acceptable too... icon_rolleyes.gif

But the problem with that Evercool fans are it's super transparent...

I hate that kinda fan...

I love those fans that have multi colours on it like the Vantec Spectrum UV led and the Thermaltake Smart fan... wub.gif

Plain colour fans are so lame... laugh.gif

Yeah Silverstone fans are bloody pricey, but it's not so bad when you consider the free fan controller. smile.gif It's terribly noisy at full speed ~2400rpm tho.

Someone here on the forum had a bulk for Evercool Ever Green fans too. They look decidedly gay, but they're only 800rpm which means very nice and quiet.

My own experience? The CM UV/LED Silent series are really quiet and good. Summore only RM20 each, cannot beat the value there. I'd love to try the Nexus and Yate Loons and Scythe S-Flex fans, but those aren't anywhere near available here.

Let me just help clarify dat not evry model/item may necessarily be listed in the websites. Googling 'll b more helpful

And FYI, 120mm Vantec Spectrum UV LED Fans do exist, 2gether w/ 90mm one. Only dat I'm not selling due to pricing factor

I think for 120mm fans, ideal is 2000 rpm to get some good CFM. Those that run lower (my CM tri-blade) is silent of course but not effective enuf. 120mm vantec I think I saw in Sri Comp. I can't recall where I bought mine, either sri or AllIT.

Today I might go buy a Cavalier 5 cos I cannot stand the vibration and small fans on my AVF casing.
