My car had alignment problem. Which is no matter how many times I do alignment, the steering won't center when I go on a straight and level road. I've learnt to live with it and gave up. Today I changed my engine mountings as the vibration is getting stronger every day (My car is 6 years old) To my surprise, the alignment became fine after that. I guess the mountings were in such a bad condition that it affected alignment as well. Just wanna share this here to those of you having this problem

QUOTE(szaku89 @ Nov 13 2015, 03:34 PM) What's the mileage of your car? Is it expensive to change the engine mounting? 157000 kms. The cost is more or less like mentioned by bro TDUEnthusiast here. If u see vibrations everywhere, chances are ur mountings gone case dy. In my case, steering wheel, rear view mirror and side mirrors all vibrated QUOTE(TDUEnthusiast @ Nov 13 2015, 04:13 PM) Aftermarket Schmaco Mountings - RM2xx. Labour - RM80 ~ RM120. If you have jacks, jack stands and all you can save quite a bit because the job is actually quite easy. Edit: I was last quoted around RM4xx for original Proton mountings. They say that it has more rubber content, and should last longer. Mine is still considered to be mostly in a good condition.

A car is a tool. Not an asset. And for me not something I would use to project my image. As long as it can bring me from A to B it's fine. I am about to fully pay my Persona, and I think I will keep it for some time into the future. Or at least till I have more disposable income to change. So far in 6 years, it has never failed me. It starts fine every time. Ride is very good for the price. Aircond is excellent. And spares are abundant, with tonnes of local mechs who can service Campros.
