2. The power socket (port where people put phone chargers, etc) is broken. Is it costly to repair?

Thank you.

hihi, i'm newbie in tis post.

I have owned persona elegance m-line for 4yrs(coming fifth year). My persona punya brake r damn noisy, especially morning n raining. I had changed the disc n pad few times but still the same. been try bendix MTK b4 and now using shoji disc with brembo pad, but still the same and now even worse. have any one facing this problem too? how u guys solve it? been visited few SC and outside workshop also said that brake noise is very normal. = ="
*
mine is PE standard. my brake disc will sound like that like u said. in the morning and raining. after I wash my car also sound. so I just bare with it la because my father's mercedes e200 also got brake sound like metal clashing, so maybe its normal I think. if I wan to make it shut up, I will press and depress several times then the sound will disappear. I read somewhere its because of the disc rotor get rusty. but in your case you changed your disc already, dont know whats the problem. unsure.gif

hi guys,

the newbie here. i have some question to ask the persona user here, is it worth to buy persona sv now? currently i'm just planning to buy my first car...but still wonder whether to take persona sv or iriz 1.3 cvt.. so b4 i make a decision, i need some of opinion to persona user. maybe u guys can share some experience.

thanks. :-)
*
thats not a fair comparison. in terms of price quite the same, but the tech and size not the same. persona is sedan, iriz is hatchback. FC wise I dont know. maybe iriz better coz new engine and cvt.

persona-sedan,old engine tech, old gearbox tech, not city driving friendly
iriz-hatchback,new engine tech, new gearbox tech, city driving friendly as a contest to myvi.

i also considering the SV. seems feature packed right? macam best... drool.gif
wah! does this mean persona sv not good?  shocking.gif
*
bro. dont be like that. you know fubar is like that meaning you are otai in here. if not good then my persona standard cannot go through from jitra to kuala terengganu. jitra-simpang pulai-lojing-gua musang-machang-besut-kuala terengganu. with some mishap along the road. cameron with landslide at 3 place. got stuck in mud while want to use shortcut through tasik kenyir road (uturn). friday last week I went. from jitra 5pm, arrive at machang at 8am next day. continue journey at 10am. arrive at kuala terengganu at 1. my car with grand livina. can follow grand livina I think is very good for that price. don't get me wrong here. I am just saying the facts.

proof. at shell machang.

sending adik future wife to petronas school in kuala terengganu. home at jitra. grik-jeli is closed coz of landslide. too much luggage he want bring. making grand livina too compact to put all people inside. no other road. only that road can be used. shorter than JKR proposed route through muadzam. too far oi.

like to turn turtle also speed on highway like they are the fastest. dont know what they feel going 150 on highway.

Will you be fetching passengers or driving alone only? If you're driving alone the Persona is very nice. There's no need to care about passenger comfort. If you fetch people, take the Iriz. The rear seats are terrible in the Persona.
Iriz rear seat is not thin? Last time I sat in Iriz at roadshow, I think is thin than Persona but thicker than axia/myvi. or its just me being forgetful? legroom seems persona more bigger.

and then they ask me whether to use X1R engine treatment or not.. again i declined it..

they also offer to do alignment and balancing but need to topup about RM50.00 +- ..
since me not enough budget  cry.gif  sad.gif  , again i refuse to do  alignment and balancing  for tyres..
but how about oil cleaner that cost me about RM41.00 ?

I tell u what. If previous you use petronas, and want to change to shell EO. they will put that oil cleaner in Serdang SC. for my case previously im using shell and want to change to petronas EO. they ask about this thing call compression cleaner or something like that. cant remember the brand name. US made. they said to get all the old EO out easier and cleaner.

the one they put in my car is like this. I gatal2 go at the car while they do they work. Is it worth it to use this stuff?

by reading the manual book, now i understand this is not a problem. the manual says:

Tips for starting:
1. Do not operate the starter motor continuously for  longer than 10 seconds; doing so could run down the battery. If the engine does not start, turn the ignition switch back to to the "LOCK", wait a few seconds, and then try again.
