P > pull handbrake > release foot brake > off engine.
How come you release foot brake then only pull handbrake? Isn't that stressing the P gear lockpin?
*
my style D > N > pull handbrake > release footbrake > P > off engine

i used to continental audi style edi (ex-family car), without foot brake it will not allow you to shift out from N, not possible to shift from N > P at all.
This is safety feature for audi since they also have the "unintended acceleration" case at 1980s which manufacturer blame it's driver fault of not applying foot brake when shifting gear. so 1980s-2000s audi car will have "always apply foot brake when shifting to driving range" wording either beside gear shifter console, or display on meter cluster like C5 A6.

Of all my cars....only Persona don't have brake lock on the gearknob. Even Saga also has it.

weird.

Why weird? This is to ensure the car is resting on the handbrake, not your gearbox's parking brake.

then for other car how u gonna do this?
"D > N > pull handbrake > release footbrake > P > off engine"
You release then reapply foot brake again before shifting to P?

oh yeah just found 1 of my friend will never pull handbrake unless it's on slope area and car will moves... he seems "forget" there's handbrake for use. sweat.gif
*
Well when I say "P" it implies "footbrake + P" laugh.gif The "release footbrake" step is to ensure the car is not moving.

Even in Persona I practice the footbrake + P, simply out of habit.

A Proton technician shared his reasoning with me:

Proton has no QC on their production line, they just quickly whack the car together and roll it off the factory to the dealership and the customer. The role of the SC is to finish the job of the production line sweat.gif

So once you bought a Proton, you have to send to SC a few times to claim defects, then baru your car is complete laugh.gif

HELP!

My driver side floor mat suddenly in wet including under removable floor mat. I don't know where the leak from.

I'm suspecting it came from the door. Any solution?
*
After heavy rain, try touching the bottom of your windscreen (where the windscreen meets the dashboard) and see if it is wet.

Update on leaking issue:

Sent the car to COSE. They say will perform shower test to confirm it is indeed the windscreen leaking. If confirmed, they will remove the windscreen and re-seal it. He assured me that it will be as good as factory seal, better than those outside windscreen workshops.

I doubt it will be as good as factory, but at least I have more confidence in them than outside windscreen shops.

anyways, this issue alongside other minor issues will take a week to address. I have left the car at COSE.

Hi, abang adik.
My persona sv had go through 3 free services and now coming to 4th service.
Question: Can I go outside such as bengkel/workshop to change my engine oil rather than going to SC? Will this action void the warranty?
*
yes void.

true. ur battery is the grounding point for your car. If u disconnect the battery it will have a short spike which is enough to damage your car components.
Persona alternator new is around 70-850.
