P > pull handbrake > release foot brake > off engine.
How come you release foot brake then only pull handbrake? Isn't that stressing the P gear lockpin?

i used to continental audi style edi (ex-family car), without foot brake it will not allow you to shift out from N, not possible to shift from N > P at all.
This is safety feature for audi since they also have the "unintended acceleration" case at 1980s which manufacturer blame it's driver fault of not applying foot brake when shifting gear. so 1980s-2000s audi car will have "always apply foot brake when shifting to driving range" wording either beside gear shifter console, or display on meter cluster like C5 A6.

You release then reapply foot brake again before shifting to P?

oh yeah just found 1 of my friend will never pull handbrake unless it's on slope area and car will moves... he seems "forget" there's handbrake for use.

    dont expect much trouble so early haha

true. ur battery is the grounding point for your car. If u disconnect the battery it will have a short spike which is enough to damage your car components.
