QUOTE(kmarc @ Jul 5 2008, 07:28 AM) What do you mean by finding the best ram timing? The lower the timings, the better it is i.e. 4-4-4-12 is better than 5-5-5-15 which is better than 6-6-6-18..... i know that edi.. but using 5-5-5-15 i cant even boot to window.. is that mean that for my ram @1000mhz thats the limit?

QUOTE(kmarc @ Jul 5 2008, 11:13 PM) Even if you can boot into windows, it may still not be stable.... you still need to stress the rams to make sure that they are stable at that particular speed.... You can try to increase the vdimm..... stock should be 1.8v.... remember to put fans to blow on the rams if you go above 2.0v vdimm.... and remember that rams can get damaged the higher you set the vdimm (Overclock at your own risk!!! ) .... max limit would probably be 2.2v and below.... Why not check out my guide on DDR2 overclocking.... you can use this particular method to find the limits of your rams... of course, there are other ways to do it too.... i do read ur guide b4.. but not quite understand i'll read it one more time.. hopefully this little brain will catch something..

i hv a question about temperature.. my concern is temp on core#0 is way higher than core#1 (about 8-10 degree different).. i took the reading from cpuid hardware monitor.. is there something wrong with my proc? rite now i oc to 3ghz (273x11) @1.4V.. another prob is the core voltage in cpuz only show 1.376V.. i read around n it says something like vdroop ( idunno wat that really is) .. how to fix this? anyone help me pls..

hmm.. so thats wat vdroop is.. tq.. in my case the voltage is always the same when idle or under load.. when i set 1.4v it shows 1.376v.. for the temperature.. the different is not much when idle (2-3 degrees) but when i ran stress test the different become bigger.. im worried coz temp on core#0 might reach 60C while core#1 only 48-50C which i think is safe.. i look at bios and the temperature never exceed 47C.. so now im confuse which one to look at yes at 3ghz its stable as i already run orthos for 12hrs with no error.. i dont hv core temp.. i'll download later..
