QUOTE(joonwei23 @ Feb 15 2015, 09:51 PM) Octopink..about 100usd..Still can find..if lucky.nowadays no matter what cc also kena rampas easily... QUOTE(DarkSilver @ Feb 15 2015, 10:04 PM) Wow, that's very good looking and VERY EXPENSIVE. That keyboard is expensive Yea, I know the quality is unparalleled... I just don't like the design of the frame/case. Too much ROUNDED EDGES, IMO. Taste for design is subjective, some users will find it very pretty. |

Topre switch is kinda..tired, if you are not use to it.
Topre has to travel 4mm until actuation, while MX Switch average at 2mm. Esp if you use Mx clear, the bump and actuation at 2mm, as long as you feel the bump you can release straight away, no need to bottom like topre. Personal preference I would say. I already used to linear switch with bottoming every keys often. Of course all of my kbd already modded with much softer sprig. Mx red original spring considered slightly heavy to me already. |

QUOTE(joonwei23 @ Feb 22 2015, 05:46 AM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Nice review So far I've only used tactile and clicky ones. Might wanna get these for my upcoming GON build. So do you recommend the gateron clears or black? I don't want something too heavy. Zeal @ GH is sending me a clear gateron switch. So I'll see how that goes before buying a bunch Black = 65g actuation (bottoming should be 75g) I already changed myself to 62g bottoming force |

QUOTE(joonwei23 @ Feb 22 2015, 07:16 PM) ah sweet. I ordered a bunch of 62g springs. Hopefully this gonna be good. I usually do two parts.Btw for linear switches, do I just lube the sliders? One is switch housing. The slider part, and the "hole" for stems Another one is mx stem itself, the side sliders, another sliders which are contacting the metal pin, and the stem itself. |

QUOTE(DarkSilver @ Feb 24 2015, 02:48 PM) Not really warped I think. kek, insert a tissue paper (1-2 ply) will doI think it's due to the INSERT is too loose, means the keycap holes are too slightly too big for the insert. Because I tried to put the Insert to OEM Profile Keycap and Original Filco Keycap, they're attached very tightly. But, on my Imsto Cherry Profile Keycaps, they're quite loosen. That's why when I press the Left Side of the Shift button, the Right Side bump up because the Insert got loosen. I double-checked and it's true. ![]() |

QUOTE(am3rr @ Feb 27 2015, 01:57 AM) u know, i think most people that started learning on mkb usually because of the RGB factor. after a while they will look into better options. Poor people like me bought 1st MKB because RK9000 having promotion that time.with most gaming keyboard right now continuously promoting their marketing scheme with RGB factor, all youngster goes bling2. Black switch for RM 250 saja. Then I only learn from there found out RK9000 kinda "ok", standard layout makes me venture more. Kakaka |

QUOTE(firstknight @ Feb 27 2015, 12:45 PM) lol... oh no... looks like i am not getting the best of MKB yet... thereis no best of mkb.Well... have not tried others... so gonna stay that way for now.. hahah... dont wanna change keyboard so fast.. lol... will look around here to gain more info for my next MKB which would be another 9 to 10 years.. lol.. i got my old one Microsoft comfort keyboard which lasted me 9 years without spoiling until i find the typing was inconsistent due to difficulty in pressing some of the keys... when you say customisation.. what is meant?? beside changing keyscaps.... does that mean you can change the cherry switches on the fly? additional LED/changing em? I have spent more than couple of times of your keyboard and find all MKB has different feeling, especially the custom keyboards. Thats why we love custom mkb, custom to individual liking. customization could mean only changing keycaps, changing case. the further customization can go to changing switch, spring weight, lubrication, stickering the switches. We even have epic customization like pipe mod or coin mod those are not-so-typical. |
