Trying new stuff  . Not sure whether to go for Vintage Black or Ergo Clear. I might be able to get a Vintage Black at a cheaper price.

Taobao have vintage blacks, 5rmb each.
Or you buy the vintage blacks' board at 240~280rmb each and harvest by yourself or I do the desoldering for u to save a little cost.
Normally old boards after harvested 100+ switches, only 70% are useable.

Veterans tried many switches before reach a conclusion it's the best for linear.

Although it's not recommended for newcomers to get vintage black directly.
It's same like Topre, if you get Topre at the beginning before you tried other tactile, you will think Topre is pretty normal feel.
So, will sell the Topre off at the end of the day.
And please don't get 55g in the beginning also, same story.

Start at level 1, end your game at level 100.
Need farming before you understand what is end game.
Get end game item at the beginning, you don't understand the passion behind keyboard.

Don't start your game at level 100, and get end game directly.
People won't jelly, just pity the great keyboard falls to the hand of sohigh ppl.
It's just my humble advice for keyboard enthusiasts.

Hi, I am in love with mechanical keyboard since i was a student. Last time in love with Filco.
Now I am working and I am planning to get one.

Budget: < RM500 (can top up RM100 extra if that product really good)
Type: Full-size.
Switches: I haven't try all. I like MX Blue but its clicky sound sometimes can be annoying. Prefer switch which soft to press, tactile & little clicky (I think is MX Brown?)
I prefer something durable (Quality 1st), future-proof, slightly metal furnished (looks good).
Lighting is optional added point.

As far as I know, some mecha. KB can be modified? their PCB also have different type and supplier? Any idea to try all MX switches in real life?

I come across Corsair K70 RGB (looks sturdy) vs Razer Chroma (nice illumination with extra USB and audio-in & microphone-out port but am I the one who feel kailh switches weird to press?)

The stock switch that is closest to your requirements is MX White (not MX Clear)
It is a variation of MX Blue but comes with a softer click.
It is also unfortunate to tell you that it is a rare switch, but it could probably be because I didn't personally source for that switch before.

Other alternative is to lube the MX Blue switch, it should make the clickiness and tactile a bit softer (depending on what lube and how you lube, there's a chance that you might not get any clicky sound at all)

MX Brown doesn't have any clicky sound at all. It's a light weight, light tactile switch.

When you say some mkb can be modified, what sort of modification are you looking at?

As of now, I'm not sure if there's any keyboard that fits your requirements, but my first initial thought was CM QuickFire Rapid-i (I think there's only Brown switch available in Malaysia stock, but I may be mistaken)
It has a pretty nice design, white LED, Brown switch and cost RM399, which is under RM500.
The only thing is that it doesn't have any metal finish and it doesn't have numpad (not sure if you are particular about numpad or not since you didn't mention them)

Your other option is Ducky Shine series, but it is a little bit pricier and they have fullsize keyboard.

Another option is to get a fully customised keyboard, but expect the price to go beyond RM600 for a custom keyboard that has the switch and body finish according to your specifications, and that cost is most likely not included the cost for keycaps yet.

Huh. I don't know got MX white. I saw some keycaps mod, LED mod, casing mod. If I'm not mistaken, avoid to get gaming keyboard because they are not standard size and restrict modification right. If I have knowledge then see what should I modify. For instance just buy n use 1st.

Ducky Keyboard quality should be okay right?
