For those who are looking for clear switch top, may look for gateron clear switch top from TaoBao. Good for its price but...

Yeah if there's one with cherry logo i'll be all over it. abostudio's one isn't that bad but I heard the first batch breaks or doesn't fit tightly.
Btw, can you link the gateron one ? I wanna have a look tongue.gif

EDIT : wait nvm. I found it.

These ones ? For RGB purposes I guess its fine sweat.gif
I asked 7Bit @ Deskthority he says he's not bringing it in anymore. Must be something to do with Corsair's agreement with them sweat.gif

How bout this?

http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a230r....ucket=17#detail

does it change the switch function? (clickyness of blue, linear switch etc)
*
i'm not sure in particular for that one you've linked but it doesn't do anything other than aesthetic purposes.
(i.e switch stickers can be seen through which gives it a nice look) biggrin.gif

sprit don't have 55g out of stock seems like 55g is the most popular LOL
and guys want to ask what is the best weight option for MX red (is 62g good )
i thinking of change to heavier spring
*
Oh I didn't know his 55g's were popular, thought it was his 62g's.
Either way I guess ppl like light springs.
I'm using his 62g on a clear switch. It's not fatiguing when you type for a long time so there's that.
For a linear switch, I think it would make it heavier so more towards mx blacks ? smile.gif

How long did it took for the springs to arrive after you paid for your order?
*
I never specifically ordered springs alone before.
Last I ordered, he shipped it together with my other stuffs.
Well from GH some dude received it a week + give or take after paying his invoice.

It's fine. I always hard carry my keyboards tongue.gif
Funnily, I got stopped once at Dubai's airport when I was transiting to the UK. The lady asked me to open the bag, and she was like smiling at the keyboard.
I was using the rainbow pbt's that time. Fun times. laugh.gif

Absolutely. I have forgotten how much I love the clickiness of MX Blues. It's like visiting an old love; lol. I have shoved my RealForce 55g into the shelf and using the 2TU at home as daily driver now. Let's see how long that last. But the switches are a bit too light to my liking. Love the form factor, definitely love the disco lights that become brighter and brighter as I typed and then fade to nothing when I stopped typing. Super duper gadgetry but still fun, nonetheless.
*
Yeah, clicky switches are the best but not too light. maybe if you swapped yours with 62g or mx clear springs it would feel nicer.
Just my 2 cents tongue.gif

Really ? I was thinking korean 62g's are heavier than stock mx blue springs. 65 eh ? You tried already ? brows.gif

and i no longer have any clicky switches keyboards i just trade my greens for reds both ducky shine 3 haha
*
Alright, I'll await your feedback for the 65g then.
Haha, I used 62g from Sprit for my MX Clear. It's pretty nice to type on. Not too light or heavy.
Why Trade your green switches ? Too heavy ? laugh.gif

looks like its a display keyboard more than a real thing but really cute thing to own haha i think if you like heavy GREEN is your thing man XD its nice but just few minutes i about to give up  doh.gif regret spending so much on green should do my home work before buying haha

want to ask since you love 60%
how is it ? is it piratical ? why people hype so much about 60% ? hmm.gif
*
Let me give some of my thoughts on this.
Tbh 60% is really practical at least for me.
The first one I got was a poker 2. Then I got the FaceW from Sprit. I almost got the Nerd 60% as well but I opt for the tkl this time. laugh.gif
The ergonomics is really suitable for me, I don't really bother about the numpad tho so there's that. biggrin.gif Gives me another option for a tenkeypad anyways if I need it tongue.gif
And 60% is quite easy to carry around, so there's that smile.gif

Is lubing a cherry mx blue a good idea or a stupid idea?
*
Um, there's no good or bad idea. I've seen people lube clicky switches but sometimes i don't really think it's necessary.
Moreover, I've seen someone lubed till the clickiness of the switch was gone. laugh.gif
I guess lubing is more towards, linear and tactile switches. Just my opinion.

Oktoberfest is the blank cc right ? I don't think there's a F2 version. Not that I know of.
I don't any clacks so I can't be entirely sure. But it was one of the clacks I like at first sight, with julysicle of course. biggrin.gif

What do you recommend between cooler master and ducky?
Filco is out of my budget  blush.gif
*
I would say the Ducky if you're into the blingblings. I don't remember the older cm's having leds. I know the new one has it tho.
I've only typed on a CM for a short while but I own a ducky, so my preference leans towards the ducky. smile.gif

I see. Shine 4 is having more functions in terms of LED lighting function? Hmm...I will try and research them.
I accidentally come across this. http://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index....ct_detail&p=975

mellow.gif Then I go consider between MX blue vs brown ba.  notworthy.gif
*
I've read that white switches have inconsistent clicks. So you might wanna take that into consideration.
If you'd like a heavier switch with the clicky feedback then green is your best bet, if not stick with blues.

guys want to ask is there much difference between plate mount and pcb mouth switches
from the description  from taobao said that pcb is more stable is this true ?
*
In any case, just get the pcb mounted switches. You can always clip the 2 legs off at the bottom if you plan to plate mount it.
But yes, the two pins stabilizes the switch if there's not plate. I usually use pcb mount switch even if I have plate, provided the pcb supports the pcb mounted switch. smile.gif

*
Really ? I've only purchased my switches from 7Bit. The pcb & plate mounted are the same price.
And that was only because the switches I ordered from mechanicalkeyboards was not delivered to me, for some reason the switches reached the UK but wasn't delivered to me and got sent back to the USA. >_>
Where do you guys source your switches anyways ? laugh.gif

Anyone notice bending the metal leaf in the switch affects the switch feeling?

When i was opening up my switch i accidentally bended 1 of the metal leaf on a cherry mx blue and it feels like a linear switch now with click lol. And i find it pretty nice actually.
*
Yeap, it does. When I first lubed my clears, I accidentally bend a few pins. Now the switches doesn't have the bump to it. It's not what I wanted but I don't have the tools to change them. lel.
So I have to live with it for now. But beware, like one of my switch I think I bend the metal leaf too much, it doesn't register types anymore. laugh.gif
