Last month reported that Cherry has shortage and limited in several types of switches.
I think it is wise for those companies which relying on the cherry switches and change their suppliers.
Long lead time of production of Cherry corp., and they don't produce many.

Now, mechanical keyboards selling like a hot cake regardless the brand of the switch. Everyone keyboard company want a piece of the market share.
Razer, Logitech, Keycool etc etc... All using their new designed switches or those collaboration with Kailh or Greetech switches.
We are in the mkb boom era.

Ya. Recommended Filco Majestouch.
Just go for it.

For PBT sets, go for IMSTO thick PBT (Cherry Profile). IMSTO keycap set is expensive than the keyboard itself.

Around RM 600 for a new 1, and you have to import it from China Filco.
It's in limited quantity too.
I saw few people put on sales in Garage Sales for around RM300-400 second hands last time (016, lowyatguy, kaiserreich).

Don't have lotus flower on it.
The 1 has flower is limited edition.

Filco are made in Taiwan. White Beige Filco also made in Taiwan.
Only Topre Realforce, HHKB, etc are made in Japan. Topre switch.

Filco in Japan, China all expensive than our local price. Futhermore, if you want a White Beige Filco, you need to import.
So, there is additional charges for shipping.

Even a white carbon Filco KOBO bought by am3rr cost around RM550 last year from Japan.

Layout is different. Topre Realforce 87U is standard Topre layout (non-standard Cherry layout), Novatouch is standard layout with 6.25x spacebar.
If just typing feel, 87U is better except the spacebar press feeling.
Novatouch spacebar press is best of the best > Topre stab, costar, cherry stab.
Internally, pcb and domes, spring are using the same.

Ya. You can still mod using dental banding on Novatouch. Be reminded, the actuation distance will be reduce if you use dental band mod.
Too bad, Novatouch do not release Type-S series which plungers are a bit thinner.

It depends on series.
For example, Filco Majestouch Linear-R (Limited Edition) do have red WASD and Filco keypuller.

Those uncommon series got free.

Pink Lotus Limited series got this free.

It's not cheap actually. You need to get a Base set (usd 23) and a Standard Modifier Set (usd 21) to complete a TKL layout not include shipping yet.
It's normal thickness pbt a.k.a thin pbt.
