1st, I like that feel of Cherry Stabilizer.
2nd, I don't know why the Shift buttons easily get pushed down to either sides if being pressed hard at the sides. It's perfectly OK and problemless if not pressed with super strong force at left or right side of the key.

Is it generally like that? Or is my unit spoiled? If so, I gonna RMA it?
*
costar stabs in general won't spoil unless you really cock up something big time.

also, if you wanna replace your costar with cherry, you need to buka lubang besar besar

For hand wiring. You know where to get locally?
*
locally i see only got 3.1.

have to source from outside if you want 2.0 like pjrc, adafruit

Ain't really working. I think it might be due to lack of grease? That's why the key got stuck when pressed heavy from the sides(one at a time).
I tried not to use the Stabilizer Wire, and the problem solved.  tongue.gif
But, that'll mean not stable too...  doh.gif

Anyway, is Vortex MKB good?
*
could be the white inserts wrongly placed. there will be a long side and a short side

CODE

_______

something like that.

your key is shift ma right? install the insert in such a way that the long side is away from you and the short side is near to you

and costar (along with cherry stabs) do not need lube to operate but with lube the feeling is smoother and wouldn't cause any sort of imbalance.

I've wasted my costar stabs till squeaky clean, no lubes also still can use.

Not really warped I think.
I think it's due to the INSERT is too loose, means the keycap holes are too slightly too big for the insert.
Because I tried to put the Insert to OEM Profile Keycap and Original Filco Keycap, they're attached very tightly. But, on my Imsto Cherry Profile Keycaps, they're quite loosen.
That's why when I press the Left Side of the Shift button, the Right Side bump up because the Insert got loosen. I double-checked and it's true.

take a double sided tape, lightly wrap the cross on the white insert and then put it in and it should be not loose now.

looks like the problem you're having is a loose white insert.

and of course you can ignore my post too whistling.gif lol

Shit out of luck. Your controller = busted.

Your only options:
1. Buy alternative controller. Expensive, hard to guarantee success (personally have never gone this route, so I can't testify), and very tricky to install.
2. Scrap it. Salvage switches and LEDs, throw away board. Depending on switches' age and type, might be worth keeping.
3. Keep it as souvenir.
4. There is no option four.

I'd choose option 2 IMO.

I've personally tried the pegasus hoof and it works like a charm on my filco mj2 tkl.
