hi.i went to Plaza LY just now and tested the K450 and K99.i tempted to try the K420 but not available

.
here my say(i put spoiler,just in case nobody interested to know

)

firstly,its a very small headphone.no wonder they called it mini.its super small.like munchini at Dunkin Donuts.eat-able lol.as i expected,the cushion is thick, like the Sony Xtreme Bass series.The looks it gorgeous. Its like an 8-years old Miss World.Really small yet damn stunning with the metal finishing around and on the centre of the cup.It size comparable to Audio Technica ONTO.Small cup and headband.Light and super portable.
the sound:
yes,this is the important part.from the looks of the cushion,i expect it to be bassy.and it is.but in a good way.not 'boom boom',but more like 'pump thump' .its punchy and solid.Maxim's Grieg Piano Concerto in A minor sound great.the techno effect really enjoyable.Remind me of Beats Studio which have really punchy yet not overwhelm bass.
At the same time,this song suffer from separation of instrument.I can really tell which instrument is playing and from where.the separation not really great,unlike the Beat Studio.I love listening to Coldplay live on it.Somehow its like all the instrument got mixed in,but not too bad,just that i heard better before.
one more,the K450 make the sound behind veil.Singer is like behind a wall.Billie Joe from Greenday sound awful even in "protruding" song like Know Your Enemy.The vocal should be 'shouting',not shy-like.I try to turn the TREBLE BOOST in my ipod touch and what i found?The vocal not being forward but instead i get 'extra instrument'.I play Lamb Of God's Laid To Rest.Its nice.Love all the punchy bass but with treble boost on,I heard a hat is been hitting.A open hat, to be exact.When i make the EQ flat,the hat is gone.Its like,by turing the treble boost on,I indirectly 'add' another component to the drum of the band.As analogy,with flat EQ,its like listening to a band with imcomplete gear/instrument.
Eventhough its like lots of weaknesses,it still a great headphone.A very tiny cup yet still isolate most of the external noise.Its a headphone with quality bass.Punchy bass and that is not easily found.It also really2 portable.I would buy it just for the wonderfulness of portability it provide.
Keep in mind this is just a simple impression.I listen to just 4 songs on this headphone.So,i might be wrong.I no great audiophile,i only have one headphone.So,i may be wrong.I also write this by comparing it to other headphone that i experienced(A500,HD555,Beat Studio).
That is all.Thank you.
(i tried the K99,but cant really say much.I too focused on K450.I have high expectation from it.What can i say,its a comfortable headphones but kinda flimsy.Maybe because its a test unit.The bass is nice,vocal not veiled,but separation is horrible.Its like a 'dodol' of instrument.Might be good for starter)
