QUOTE(cimmie @ Mar 9 2015, 11:39 PM) Hi all, I'm looking at getting a job in Singapore. Have yet to start applying though, would like to find out more before trying. Not too sure about PM but don't be afraid to ask for 1:1 MYR:SGD pay. How's the market for project manager in software development in Singapore? Is it very saturated? What is the rough expected salary for someone with PMO experience of 5 yrs where 3 yrs as Project Manager? Do we put expected salary based on market rate in Sgp or the usual 10%~20% lesser than pay in MYR? Thanks in advance! My SGD pay > MYR pay $ to $. Just ask, no harm. The headhunter got stunned for few secs upon knowing my expected. |

QUOTE(cimmie @ Mar 12 2015, 12:24 AM) thanks!! For technical positions I guess your best bet would be go straight to the agencies that specialise in business/technology you're keen to work in.Dropping cv seems kinda impossible as most positions are requesting for Singaporean or PR. Contacting agents will be easier? |

^ if it indeed is following your logic nobody wants to work in Singapore liao.
I'd say it's according to the market rate for your job/sector and experience. |

QUOTE(arslow @ Apr 23 2015, 11:50 PM) thank you so much for your answers Asylum04, really appreciate it Lavender MRT station there the corner shop selling economy dishes cheap and good. hmm, the rent in these areas can be quite high, but i was aiming for rooms with rent of 700sgd or lower. lower than 600 is almost impossible and even if there is its most probably bare basic without furniture and washing machine, etc. End up i will have to purchase those (wifi too) and its not gonna be really saving. 3-6sgd is nice to hear, at least dinner and weekend food will be cheap. As for lunch for weekdays, quite alot of areas are charging about 20sgd too, which is crazy for me, but i did see a few places which are cheap, although my choices are further limited as I will have to look for halal places EDIT: i was also looking at rooms at kallang and lavender, as there are a few places between 600-700 per month too there. I presume even these two places have 3-6 sgd meals? Thank you so much for your answer, again I love their sambal, comparable to the best I had back home. |

QUOTE(arslow @ Apr 24 2015, 12:04 AM) wow, thats nice to hear. so if i stay near lavender, I can get my dinner there On top of that there are 2-3 food court/kopitiams nearby. thx for the info V-zero!! btw, when you say economy dishes, what are the price range? below 5? My favourite combination is meehoon + vege + hash brown + egg for around $2.8-3. Too bad I no longer stay there, miss their sambal. |
