Hi guys, I have 3 years sales experience and recently got a job invitation to sg for a sales position. Basic $2.3 + commissions  consider low/average?

Right now I am able to bring home about RM2.5-3k nett from my current job.

What u guys think?
*
That depend on your commission scheme lo..if your commission is high this pay is still quite ok.

well, if you can save 1k SGD here, you have already brought back 3k RM nett..

hi all,

I will be having my intern during March - June 2016 , and after intern I'll be graduated
anyone have experience on doing internship in SG? plan to continue working in the same company after intern..

another thing I want to ask is I'm 26 this year, will it be more difficult for me to get a job in SG? I applied leave to stop my studies and went to work (part time promoter / sales / event planner), after that continue back my studies, am I considered as having working experience?

Need some guidance and advice from all the lengzais lengluis here ^^
Thanks.

Unless you have connection in Singapore, or you have specific skillset, or you willing to work as low pay labour here for intern, or your cv sibeh impressive, else pretty tough to get an internship here.

k... today officially 10 months working in sg, almost 4 years as an m&e engineer.  rclxms.gif

however, i feel like i'm at quarter life crisis d.. lol.. no joke, seriously..  cry.gif cry.gif

anyways think i will apply for new job soon.. apply for new job here also kanasai.. MoM will inform current company of my job hopping skills... oh wells, it is what it is.

PS: pls don't pressure ur child to study engineering. poor kid, study and suffer so hard..

At least he now fulfilled his childhood dream of being smart aleck knows everything about skyscrappers, power plants, airports, tunnels, mrts, & offshore drilling rigs.

too bad that's not what feeds a family these days.. need to be corporate lawyer, banker, 4D seller, forex trader and/or MLM penipu scammer..

PPS: brb.. need to inform my gf that I may be unemployed soon and cant afford her tai tai lifestyle.. she sure angry lor.. hope she doesn't leave me.

fml........
*
haha, same here..joined m&e during intern, now also in the circle
Took me 4 yrs to find that engineering is not my cup of tea..
anyway, good thing about engineering is that you are free to go any fields and still widely accepted, accept some extreme cases such as law or doctor.

since you have fulfilled your dream, then maybe is time to move on.
btw faster get your PR n MOM cannot involve ad lo.

ya.. now considering jumping into management consulting.

but dunno if my experience is relevant/enough yet.. I may need to re-skill take up a masters/mba..

If got foreigner spot, NUS mba 62k for two years... very tempting.

haha.. how to faster.. recently, MoM rejected my app and I thought I had reasonable enough credentials + born in sg  sad.gif ..
*
woo, I am targeting management consulting as well. rclxms.gif
but not from top tier uni, abit tough..maybe msia I still can get

hmm..that sounds good, but again having a mba doesn't really guarantee a space in the industry.
why not consider to jump into the industry with lower salary, but at least to ensure that that's what you want?
if it is ok, then only proceed with mba.

u said you in sg for 10 months...n minimum 6 months to apply for PR..so after 4 months they ad informed you on rejection?

Are you earning minimum 3.3k? If no, high chance.
*
Pay is not really the main factor.

Your degree, the uni you graduated from, you age, your industry and job matters more.

I know friend who got 2k (which is less than S-Pass requiremnt of 2.2k) pay secured an E Pass

Sorry ya.. actually is there really a big difference between E pass and S pass?
*
got people say E pass is a better stepping stone to PR application compare to S pass.

other than that, the only diffence is that company no nid to pay levy for E pass holder, but nid to pay for S pass.
and E pass has no quota restriction, while S pass has..
so in short , company prefer to hire Epass holder than Spass.

But company still more prefer to hire PR/Singaporean as that will let them hire more WP/S Pass.

biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
*
hmm..if paying same price for both, and both shown similar capability, no doubt they wlll go for PR/Spn instead of pass holder.

as for becuz of quota..i feel like more becuz the HR feel troublesome to apply pass for foreigner...lol

Queue from 3am just now to 8am and its not open today! Furious! So inefficient gahmen services should work 24/7 for the citizen leh. Seeing this maybe hold back my plan to apply now.

Both the couple have to change now, SG gahmen also clever, see people doing this they coming out new things to counter the rip off. Malaysia have rules stopping foreigners to own properties and land or not?
*
lolololol.

not really, but i guess got a minimum property value?
aiya, 4gt ad your holding property sure much higher than the minimum value.so this rules won't apply to you drool.gif
