Can try Commenwealth area, i'm staying behind Commenwealth MRT (about 10 mins walk) / 2 bus stop away from the MRT.

$2200/month for a fully furnished 2 bedder but without attached toilet.

2 double bed room = $550 per pax. More reasonable now?

JE is growing as the KL - Singapore rail is suppose to be there. The thing about Singapore is that even if an area is not walking distance from MRT, you have bus to compensate for that. If you die die want beside MRT, look at those rental site lo. They have the function to set how far you want your property to be away from the MRT. I believe there is quite a few for green line towards Jurong in stations like Clementi, Chinese Garden & Lakeside.

Note that JE is the interchange with Red line thus in the morning / after work you are expected to be sardine fish.

I used to stay in Jurong (Corporation Road), takes about 30 mins to get to Commenwealth via bus + MRT. Now i just walk

only thing is the car is not suppose to 'stay' in Singapore for more than 18 hours, each day.

You can try if you like, from what i see so far LTA doesnt enforce this yet. The rule are there but they are not pressing it. But it is easy to enforce as you cross the border with EP yet your vehicle obviously overstay.

You may try to purchase a HDB season parking, the system only allow Malaysian registered vehicle to park from 7am to 1030pm while Singaporean regiestered vehicle it is whole day. Why?
