They announced Ultra SF4 is ported to PS4 as well.. I believe that means the game is just started development, might be a year or 2 before it's official release... If not they will not bother to port the Ultra SF4 .

Nope, it won't work, sell it and buy a PS4 stick.

so far all the PS4 stick on the market are backwards compatible with PS3 so you can just use one stick, I've already sold mine to get a new one.

Charlie Nash is now a motion character. Will use him along with Ryu for SFV.
Birdie is definitely crazy in SFV.....very high damage character.

anyway I wanna ask where all the fighting game fans in Malaysia get their arcade sticks? I managed to get a HRAP V4 last year but that must have been one of the very last units as it is listed as sold out from all the local retailers websites I know soon after.

Now all the arcade sticks I can find is the Razer Atroxx for Xbox One, which is too overpriced as I am not interested in modding.

I think better to wait until this game comes out..I bet more PS4 sticks will be available during that time. Last time when SF4 was out I bought the Madcatz SF4 TE edition and works good till now. Go apply for the SF5 beta guys. Link below.

they won't put a large amount of new characters, last time they did that was Street Fighter 3 and Street Fighter EX, both of those games wasn't as popular. Players want to play with their favorite characters and replacing them with completely new characters will alienate quite a lot of fans. Street Fighter 3 was initially planned to come out without Ryu and Ken, they were added in due to fan demand. So the most popular characters will remain.

Instead they settle with tweaking old characters. Nash, M. Bison, Chun Li and Birdie all receive a lot of changes. The work involved here is not much less than designing completely new characters.

Street Fighter 4 also almost the same, they start with 12 old characters and 4 new characters, not counting bosses and hidden characters.

Anyway, any Asia PS+ members already receives email for their Beta? They said email going to be send out starting the 21st.

yes, and I already downloaded it last night. It's a code that takes you to a website to fill up a survey that will give you another code to download the beta

yeah, I checked a few streamers and none of them can get past the title screen, which is ridiculous, you shouldn't need to connect to the servers to get past the title screen. I think this is the first cons we see for the game implementing the Fight Money system, as it needs to connect to server to check how many Fight Money you got or what characters you have unlocked, while previously DLCs are local data.

Looks like it's working fine now. Been able to get in easily and got some online matches. Pretty laggy since I assume the people I play with is from north america lol

Capcom offers its sincerest apologies to everyone who participated in this first beta test.  While the purpose of a beta is to work out these type of issues, it was very clear that the issues we faced were more severe than we were prepared for.  After three days of testing, while we were making progress and collecting valuable data, we felt the majority of players were not having a good experience, and the best course of action would be to take the servers offline for extended maintenance.  We will be postponing our first beta phase until we believe the experience is going to be a positive one for players.

To be clear, this first beta test attempt will not count toward our previously announced beta test allotments.  There will still be at least three full beta tests prior to the game’s launch.  So for those in the Americas that feel disappointed that they were not able to experience their pre-order incentive, there will be plenty of opportunities prior to launch to experience the game.

Additionally, we are working on a worthwhile in-game incentive for the players that participated in the first beta test.  While we can't confirm specifics just yet, we will have more details on this in the coming weeks.

To all of the European and Asian players that felt like they were missing out on the beta since we limited it to North America on Friday and Saturday, we apologize for the inconvenience. Due to the state of the server issues, we had to limit the numbers to a smaller pool in order to identify issues and potential solutions. Either way, we will still be providing these players with an incentive as well, as all territories were inconvenienced.

To all of the players that participated and supported us through this initial phase, we cannot thank you enough.  We understand how frustrating it is to be so close to playing the game you are excited for, and to not have it working.  The whole team here is very disappointed that we were unable to deliver a proper beta experience this time.
