Hi, anyone can advise whether getting an arcade stick will allow me to pull off combo in street fighter easier, especially for those back-front or down-up inputs? I'm just a casual player and all I can pull off using normal controller is fireball and dragon punch.

depends on your play style, some pro player doesn't even use arcade stick at all

but IMO, those directional moves (UD, LR) are easier to pull off with a square gate stick controller
I also having major problem executing those from normal controller tongue.gif

Yeah, those UD LR input is difficult to pull off using normal controller, hence probably the reason why most people like myself restricted to playing as Ryu or equivalent. Damn boring playing SF if limited to these same style characters. But the sticks are damn expensive, even entry level >RM300. sad.gif

Fortunately I just found out that Marvel vs Capcom Infinite has throw away UD LR input, and use quarter circle or DD for easier input for special moves for all characters, meaning now casual players can easily play as any character in this game rclxms.gif

There aren't that many charge characters in this game compared to SF4 so I wouldn't recommend getting the stick for this alone. If you do get a stick, it will most likely work with the PC so you can also play some emulators with it. Megaman and castlevania are fun ways to familiarize yourself with using a stick. Metal Slug is kinda meh for stick familiarization since there isn't much platforming.

I would like to ask if there are any places in kl, pj, or subang where I can play with others locally?

With a CPT event happening here in KL this coming march, would be nice to find some players to spar with.

You hard to see me at FV Cup, as i in charge in Neogeo World Tour 2, opposite of the FV Cup venue. (Both same organizer)
So, if u want to see me, come to Neogeo World Tour 2. bruce.gif bruce.gif Hehehe

I know RM80 & USD10 to join FV Cup is a bit expensive, but beside SF5, u can join other games also. I think quite worth.
not to mention u can see many international SF5 player like TOKIDO 1st time to Malaysia. N also Itabashi Zangief (I lost count how many times he come, haha he 1st join FV Cup during USF4 time) and many others also.
