Hi, anyone can advise whether getting an arcade stick will allow me to pull off combo in street fighter easier, especially for those back-front or down-up inputs? I'm just a casual player and all I can pull off using normal controller is fireball and dragon punch.

QUOTE(greyshadow @ Sep 26 2018, 08:45 AM) depends on your play style, some pro player doesn't even use arcade stick at all but IMO, those directional moves (UD, LR) are easier to pull off with a square gate stick controller I also having major problem executing those from normal controller Yeah, those UD LR input is difficult to pull off using normal controller, hence probably the reason why most people like myself restricted to playing as Ryu or equivalent. Damn boring playing SF if limited to these same style characters. But the sticks are damn expensive, even entry level >RM300. Fortunately I just found out that Marvel vs Capcom Infinite has throw away UD LR input, and use quarter circle or DD for easier input for special moves for all characters, meaning now casual players can easily play as any character in this game

QUOTE(Current Events guy @ Oct 11 2018, 05:54 PM) There aren't that many charge characters in this game compared to SF4 so I wouldn't recommend getting the stick for this alone. If you do get a stick, it will most likely work with the PC so you can also play some emulators with it. Megaman and castlevania are fun ways to familiarize yourself with using a stick. Metal Slug is kinda meh for stick familiarization since there isn't much platforming. Thanks for sharing.
