Mesut Ozil: Arsenal’s record signing, Mesut Ozil, recently shared his thoughts on Arsenal’s season and expressed his readiness to join his fellow Gunners in training, after 10 weeks out as a result of a knee injury, as soon as possible. Speaking with Arsenal.com, the Arsenal’s record signing said: “I’m working everyday to get myself fit and I’m on the right path now. It won’t be too much longer before I’m back on the pitch. I hope to be back training with the whole team again as soon as possible”. Ozil is expected back in action on the first day of January, 2015 against Southampton at St. Mary’s Stadium and this is much anticipated by many Arsenal fans.

Aaron Ramsey: After the impressive display against Galatasaray in the UEFA Champions’ League final group match, where he got a brace, Aaron Ramsey has never played a match for Arsenal since then. He was substituted at the end of the first half for what looks like a Hamstring Injury which as earlier thought to be mild. However, Wenger revealed before the Newcastle game that: “Aaron Ramsey is out. We got the scan result last night. I don’t know enough to give the extent of his injury.” The player isn’t expected back in action until the 28th of December, when Arsenal would go away to West Ham United.

Mikel Arteta: The Arsenal captain, Arteta has recently sustained injuries almost in every match and his case is becoming very worrisome but his return after the November international break as revealed by the manager represented a boost for the Gunners. However, he sustained another Calf Muscle strain afterwards, but was said to comeback on the 26th December against QPR at the Emirates. However, with a recent setback in his recovery process, the Captain could be back next year 2015.

Jack Wilshere: Jack Wilshere, who suffered another injury to his ankle during the match against Manchester United this season, will be out until next year. Contrary to reports that the player would be out for an extended period due to a setback, the midfielder would follow a steady recovery path and be back on the initial expected date of 15th February. On Wilshere’s setback Wenger had this to say: “That’s completely wrong. He’s doing very well. He’s on crutches so I don’t see how he can have a setback. It’s frustrating because it is hard enough for Jack to be injured. He doesn’t need the negative news on top of that. It’s always frustrating to deny things that are not true”.
