i don't mind cutscenes.. but please make them shorter and more straight to the point.. rather than trying to make it into a movie (D grade movie?). At least make the dialogues great! Mass Effect franchise has many dialogues but none of them bore me at all! Dragon Age Inquisition is also the same! People there speak with character, with the right tone.. presentation.. not some boring old dude babbling about how pointless his life is, how everyone else sucks for like full 5 minutes or more each time he speaks.

sometimes gameplay is not everything.. this game proves it. Add in unnecessary stuffs and glitches and ppl will just quit.

you like fantasy stuffs in a fictional world? check

get the game. worth it even with 30% discount. u will be hooked for months

8 totally distinct races (more unique each race is compare to Civ) ... will give u endless replayability.

my playstyle is always to play in "fast" mode so that things move on faster.. research, buildings etc takes few turns the most. Some ppl prefer playing in normal speed.. so it's up to u.

difficulty wise Normal is really tough for me.. i play it in Beginner mode now with my Necrophage faction... killing everything in sight

a Support unit's capacities (bet Civ 5 don't have such a unit with so many attributes - added with items as well).

top right has an ongoing mini quest

top left similar to Civ UI, yet with so much more type of side resources. Core resources is the same, 2: gold, culture. Building resources for buying items for heroes/units. (yes units can equip items too!)

Research menu, similar to Civ, with different Eras progress (hover over a round research choice, it will tell u more):



Hero/Units inventory menu (u can equip items here on heroes. Units u just click on "retrofit" once select a unit- once u created a new unit template with latest items, will consume some gold/resources- sort of like an "upgrade" for them)


City UI (all races can have many cities, only Cultists can have 1 - yet Cultists can control minor factions easily and spawn large numbers of units in a short time):


What more can you ask for as a Civ 5 lover???? It surpasses even Civ 5 itself!! (Beyond Earth no need compare - that is a failed product currently)

Endless Space is also worth it.. but of course Endless Legend is newer la.. i will suggest get this both. Endless Space is 4X in space... very fun also travel through blackholes and exploring planets.. building up your empire.

aiya u say underwhelming battles... then Civ 5 is worse if compare to Endless Legend. At least Endless Legend u can position units around. Civ 5 u wanna help a unit escape death during battle also can't. Anyhow i use Auto Resolve in most of my battles.. unless if I try to save some units then I'll use manual.

u want overwhelming battles play Age of Wonders 3.. sort of 4 X but less focus on diplomacy.

4X like Civ and this game, the core part is building up your empire, maintain happiness, progress, research, how to handle roaming neutrals, allies and enemies, and finally expansion to end up being the dominant race. Those are the core part. Battles can be completely avoided if you play a peaceful race like Drakkens, or a commerce superior race like Roving Clans.

Cultists, Necrophage, destroys everything in sight.
Cultists - insane mass production of units from neutrals. just keep destroying minor factions, then use culture to raise them up as humble followers.
Necrophage - the more they kill.. the more powerful they become - can grow their cities faster via corpses! (=food)

multiplayer? i never play such games on multiplayer. I do see games on the multiplayer section tho. So yes there's active ppl playing.

not that hard really.. just need to understand the concept.

as u play more will learn up how.. then if don't understand just search Google.. That's how i learn for all my games

most difficult game ever for me is Europa Universalis IV.. most frustrating also. After 4 tries I uninstalled the game. Stupid peasants war wipes me out from inside everytime

then u better get Civ 5 first since it is so cheap now.

if u like that then get Endless Legend.

i dont wanna recommend something that you'll end up not liking due to the fact it's not your cup of tea.

everybody got own cup of tea... everyone's taste is different. u know yourself best.

here.. try this first.. u play the heck out of it.. and if u manage to play more than 40 hours and love it.. i confirm u will like Endless Legend (i played Civ 5 on cetak rompak last time so don't compare with my Steam not accurate xD ):

u only clear the ones that you're really into/interested.

no point forcing yourself in finishing a game.

yet if you've really found one u can spent 100+ hours into.. then it's really a gem. That game alone is worth > than any 4-5 other games.

u wanna taste as much as u can and only eat more of the food that u love..

if can't afford to buy so much.. then limit to those that u are very very sure of. Read reviews + watch videos first + check discussion boards before buying.

i like Civ 5 and Endless Legend.. but not into Total War.

Total War series is when you like to manage HUGE battles in real time.. that's how i see the game.. somewhat unique in its own way. Battle screen very different from many 4X.

base game Endless Legend will do. That minor faction not important. u have TONS other minor factions in the game.

oh.. and i bought my games to last me an entire year - 2015.

an entire year i shall now play all the games i bought during this winter sales! best haul ever for me

Omg.. Hope u will like them.. Don't give up so fast.. Keep improving till u are pro when playing such games. They are like real time strategy just that more time to think

Forgot to mention that Total War is actually not my kind of thing.. Those battles are real time unless auto resolve.. Not easy. That part of the game make me dislike it. XD might be for you tho. Good luck.

mod it like crazy till it reaches the limit of your PC's specs. useful mods are inventory mod, scenery mods (make skyrim world more beautiful - skies and trees/grass is a must, and many more - u want more sexy ladies oso got)

too much mods can drive up the requirements.. once u feel FPS drops below acceptable then time to switch off some.

go to NexusMod Skyrim, use the client, and download all that you want. can choose to enable/disable them one by one using that. Download mods manual is faster.. using the modmanager to download kinda slow.. unless if small file then should be ok.

but even on 40% off it's worth it la.. i bought the Deluxe game pre-purchase and had no regrets, paid full price for it (i'm a fan of AoW1 and 2 - my teenager days memories). Devs are a helpful bunch even on Steam forums.. worth all the support. Will get any DLCs/expansions that they would release in future.

AoW3 is more of epic battles rather than a true 4X (but still lots of 4X elements in it). It's more to Heroes of Might and Magic 6 style.

anyhow don't think Endless Legend needs such a high spec rig.. u can check exact playable specs here:

Use this tool at the middle of the page: "CAN I RUN Endless Legend" put in your CPU and GPU it will calculate for u. Sometimes listed specs are not accurate.

!@#!$% with Marvel Heroes.

No dedicated servers (for other regions) expect ppl outside of US play with 200-500MS ping? No way.

And its pricing for heroes/items.... don't feel it's worth it for such a basic game. It's like Diablo dumbed down. Path of Exile, Torchlight 2, even Diablo 2 RoS is much more worth the time.
