can anyone telll me how long does number porting take? say u opt for porting from digi to maxis on friday last week, i was told it will be 10 days? really

my dad ported from digi to maxis and it took him actually only 2 days.

If I purchase contract 2 years for maxis, does it mean i have to use the iphone for two years? or could i possibly sell the iphone in one year and use the sim with another phone that i have not bought with maxis? or would that not be possible? can the iphone be used with other carriers or is it locked to my number? thanks in advance.

What is the difference actually between the 12 month and 24 months contract?

Got a carrier update, now signal showing 4G instead of LTE. So any different in technical term?

It says that, 4G network could be a higher speed of HSDPA network or LTE (on the GSM models). This shows that if the status bar on your iphone shows "4G", it need not be an genuine LTE connection. However, if your phone's status bar showed "LTE", it means you are using the true LTE speed connection.

I did notice when I put in celcom sim, I get 4G on my status bar, but with maxis it is LTE. Kinda confusing actually. Still figuring out why the sudden change to 4G instead of LTE, to hide distinctions between 3.75G (HSDPA+) and true LTE speed ?

yea, but also you pay for the plan. I notice the plan also got the optimizer. 2GB Internet + 2GB complimentary Celcom WiFi or UNLIMITED Calls and SMS to all networks. 3gb+3gb now the optimizer give you extra 2+2gb total is 10gb per month. Suit for heavy data user like me can dl video all day long. The call also looks attractive. 

Oh, I saw this on celcom website too. They have two optimizer, another one is unlimited free call and sms to all network. This the things that got me attracted because I used to make short call. But is this really that good? Anyone subscribe to this plan? Pls share...
