Hi guys, i was thinking of getting the iValue 1 package for 12 months contract. with the iphone 6 64 gb.
What is the difference actually between the 12 month and 24 months contract?
By the way i am already a maxis user, do i still need to pay cash advance?

If I purchase contract 2 years for maxis, does it mean i have to use the iphone for two years? or could i possibly sell the iphone in one year and use the sim with another phone that i have not bought with maxis? or would that not be possible? can the iphone be used with other carriers or is it locked to my number? thanks in advance.

Frankly, if you dislike the phone, you can sell it off the next day for all they care. You just need to stick with the plan you signed up for for 2 years, otherwise the penalty is quite hefty. The iPhones sold in Malaysia are not locked to any carriers.

If not mistaken the difference is that 24 months contract will get you the phone for about RM 300.00 cheaper than compared to a 12 months contract. Bear in mind that a longer contract would mean you don't have the flexibility to switch plans or telcos for a longer period. If you've been with maxis for more than a year then chances are advanced payment will be waived.
