I think its possible...you need to check it out. tapi rasa boleh la, since the contract on the previous card is free replacement upon expiry.

Just inform the staff that you would like to extend the validity of your MyKad's TNG and they will be able to renew it for up to three years.

Interesting...but not sure if its still valid. I visit Nu Sentral couple of week back, to renew my TNG card, my MyKad is expired as well, but they didnt mention about the 3 yrs thingy, they just said, I need to either renew my MyKad or I can transfer the balance to ewallet. hence I transfered to my ewallet.

If Im not mistaken, you can only redeem the replacement after the card expires.

Suggest you pay a visit to the service center and clear it out. Just in case, save a screenshot from previous transactions. Most likely they would need your ID for verification and reinstatement.

But if the customer also has an account and when a new card is purchased, they do automatically register it on the portal.

Both of my recent cards was automatically registered.

But prior to NFC card, memang, aku register manually.

I bought it as the Nu Sentral hub. And yeah, it its bought elsewhere, they would have access to the online portal for registration, then the customer need to perform this activity.

Old system and new process cacat inbetween! hahaha

When I enquired previously, that was he reply as well, ala, just 10 bucks, beli ajelah. Its only free when your older card expires and they will transfer the balance amount to the new NFC card.

Hmmm, interesting, when I did mine last year and beginning of this year, it was all fine to get the free replacement.
Wonder why did they change the policy?! Anyways, mine are all renewed.
